Hunt suffers from an ill sounding engine during his qualification run and pulls off before 2nd lap is completed, he was done for the night.
The Kin-X Motorsports team change engines after qualifications.
MPD Race Products Heat (8 Laps) Top-6 Transfer to A Feature. 1. Billy Balog [2]; 2. Billy Hafemann [1]; 3. Kurt Winker [3]; 4. Travis Whitney [6]; 5. Steve Meyer [5]; 6. Todd King [4]; 7. Joe Symoens [7]; 8. Ryan Irwin [8]; 9. Kurt Davis [9]. DNF-Rick Kelsey [10]; DNS-Andy Hunt.
Balog lead the distance from the drop of the green. By Lap-3 the field was sorted and single file. Kelsey ducks pit side about ½ way through.
Weld Wheels Heat 1. Todd Hepfner [4]; 2. Brooke Tatnell [6]; 3. Scott Uttech [2]; 4. Wayne Johnson [5]; 5. Donny Goeden [1]; 6. Scotty Young [10]; 7. Bill Warren [9]; 8. John Haeni [3]; 9. Tim VanDerVere [8]; 10. Dave Uttech [7].
Goeden uncharacteristically not off the start and falls back into turn 1 as Hepfner and Uttech battle side-by-side out of turn 2 and down the backstretch until Hepfner takes the lead for good out of turn 4. Tatnell takes 2nd out of turn 2 next time around. Lap-4. No changes, single file. Visible smoke from Haeni allows Young to gain a transfer spot from a bad qualification time.
VMAC Racing Heat 1. Tommy Sexton [3]; 2. Ricky Logan [5]; 3. Mike Reinke [7]; 4. Scott Neitzel [6]; 5. Brian Kristan [1]; 6. John Sernett [4]; 7. Bill Wirth [9]; 8. Lance Fassbender [8]; DNF-Rusty Egan [10]; DNF-Scott Biertzer [2].
Biertzer takes the initial lead out of turn 2 until Logan grabs it entering turn 3. Lap-2: Yellow is out after Biertzer suffers terminal mechanical failure entering turn 3. He would duck into the work area, get a push-off back out and then call it a night. Egan ducks pit side within a lap of the restart which Reinke takes 3rd out of turn 2 all for naught as Fassbender brought out another yellow on that restart after he spins/stall in turns 1-2. Within a lap of the restart again, Reinke would take 3rd form Kristan and the only real battle was for 4th between Neitzel and Kristan with about 2-to-go.
Behling Racing Equipment B Feature (12 Laps) 1. Ryan Irwin [4]; 2. John Haeni [1]; 3. Joe Symoens [2]; 4. Lance Fassbender [6]; 5. Bill Warren [8]; 6. Kurt Davis [7]; 7. Tim VanDerVere [5]; 8. Rick Kelsey [10]; 9. Dave Uttech [3]. DNF-Bill Wirth [9]. DNS-Rusty Egan, DNS-Andy Hunt, DNS-Scott Biertzer.
Initial start was waved off. Once started, Haeni takes command out of turn 2. Wirth retired early. Irwin moved into 2nd around Lap-5 and by Lap-8 began to close in on Haeni and eventually takes the lead out of turn 4 with about 3-to-go. Davis grabs the transfer spot late after a race-long battle with VanDerVere.
Dick Witt Checker Classic A Feature (25 Laps) 1. Ricky Logan [3] $2,000; 2. Brooke Tatnell [7]; 3. Wayne Johnson [4]... Todd Hepfner [1]; Steve Meyer [5]; Scott Neitzel [6]; Travis Whitney [8]; Mike Reinke [19]; Billy Balog [9]; John Sernett [11]; Kurt Winker [12]; John Haeni [13]; Scott Uttech [14]; Billy Hafemann [15]; Donny Goeden [16]; Brian Kristan [17]; Joe Symoens [18]; Ryan Irwin [20]; Lance Fassbender [21]; Kurt Davis [22]; Bill Warren [23]; Scotty Young [24]. DNF-Todd King [2]; DNF-Tommy Sexton [10]. Alternate: Tim VanDerVere. Lap leaders: Todd King 1-5, Ricky Logan 6-25.
Logan grabbed the initial lead out of turn 2 until the start was called back after Sexton stops nose first into the jersey barriers near the pit entrance off turn 3. Complete restart and King takes the lead over Logan, Johnson as Hepfner with a bad start or something as he did not take off and drops to 4th. Reinke with an awesome run and already takes about 7 positions from where he started. Lap-5: King was cruising until he gets loose out of turn 4 which allowed Logan to pass for the lead then King loses the handle completely entering turn 1, jumps the cushion and smacks the wall and is upside down. He was Ok. And Open Red was called by Officials. Logan leads the Top-10 of Johnson, Tatnell, Hepfner, Whitney, Balog, Meyer, Neitzel, Reinke (from 19th) and Winker to the restart. Tatnell and Johnson would swap 2nd around the track on this final restart and stoppage of the race as Reinke moves into 8th around Lap-8. Logan would enter slower traffic on Lap-10 and was cruising with ease. Lap-15: Running order: Logan, Tatnell, Johnson, Hepfner, Balog, Whitney, Neitzel, Meyer, Kristan, Winker and Goeden in the Top-11. Logan handled the field very well and moved to where he needed to go to get through heavy, heavy traffic, he sent Symoens a 2nd lap down before the checkers fall for like his 5th IRA career A Feature win as Tatnell and Johnson cleared lapped traffic in the final laps to safe their Podium Positions.
Next IRA show is up at the Oshkosh Speedzone on Friday the 21st as we only have 3 races left.

Michael,
Thanks for the help you've provided all season long, very much appreciated.
This is correct A-main finish; 1. Logan, Tatnell, Johnson, Balog, Hepfner, Whitney, Neitzel, Reinke,
Kristan, Meyer, Goeden, Winker, Sernett, S. Uttech, Davis, Haeni, Warren, Irwin, Symoens, Hafemann, Fassbender, Young, King, Sexton.
People should take note of drive by Balog. Also, we did have open red, first in months, as we thought we'd handle any potential fuel issues at that time.
King lost torsion stop causing his incident while leading, too bad for underfinanced team, frame destroyed.
Top 8 on lead lap. S. Uttech nipped Davis at line. Great battle between point contenders Whitney, Neitzel, and Reinke.
Late season wear and tear taking it's toll on equipment, several engines hurt, not to mention more rear-ends letting go than I've seen in a weekend. Both tracks blistering fast, Antigo unbelievable.
Great to see Rusel Borland in attendance after the worse crash I've ever witnessed just a week ago in Superior. If ever a testament for head & neck restraint systems. Also glad to see Bill Modjeski in attendance after a pair of very recent surgeries.
It's Oshkosh & LaSalle next weekend, then our season finale at Plymouth the following week.
