If 2k is a hotdog and a hand shake.....  you should swing by and drop 2k in my mailbox....  And where did Chuck say this was his answer to the Nationals....

You might want to take a second look.....10th place pays $900.00 the final night of the Gold Cup. And from the begining Chuck stated that his Gold Cup event would be an unprecedented event in sprint car racing or some such garbage. Showed his ignorance there, I would say.

Terry is good at both places. The drive of 275miles to get to Knoxville from Jackson is one reason. The other is Husets is easier on engines I will miss him at Knoxville but its his business and I am sure He thought it out. When you are the team owner its a lot different then someone else paying the bills as very few teams can survive on purse alone.

Chuck started talking shit about Knoxville right from the beginning and then said his Gold Cup would be "unprecedented". $900 for 10th is pathetic. The Knoxville Nationals pays $9,500 just to start the A-Main on Saturday night plus pays very well for all the qualifying events. Hell even the heat races pay decent. Like I said, if this is his answer to Knoxville, he's a delusional moron. There's nothing unprecedented about this. If you wanna see "big" races with top heavy purses and shitty pay beyond the top 5 or 10, look no further than Central Pa. We've got a bunch of them here

Will you please screen shot a quote of Chuck saying this was an answer to the Nationals?   I do find it unprecedented considering it was on no schedule in any year prior.  It is a concert and a couple nights of racing. At no point have I ever read anything that says this will be the nationals of sprint car racing....   Everybody whines and bitches about tracks not doing anything to promote our sport. Now some guy lets his nuts hang and does whatever he can to promote our sport and people bitch like little babies...    He is putting $100,000 into the racers pockets. And he's being persecuted for it. I don't fucking get it...

If you "don't get it", it's because you haven't been paying attention....Brennan stated in a press release that the changes he plans to make will make Badlands "even better than Knoxville".......that he will "crush anything they've ever done"......and that there will be a four day event with a $200,000.00 purse, and Brennan calls that amount "unprecedented in the racing industry for an event of that length". I think what you don't get might be this....if you are going to put together a racing event that pays $50,000 to win, and you want to draw a crowd and a decent field of cars.....you better make sure that that from 7th on back you aren't paying chicken feed, 5th and 6th are paying a "hot dog and a hand shake" when you consider what other major sprint car events and even some weekly shows pay.

Maybe everyone should relax and watch this unfold before passing judgement. If Chuck is the idiot scumbag you all say he is, you have nothing to worry about. Chuck will run it into the ground and put the track out of business. Then you can drive by Husets  on Saturday night and see what it looks like when it's closed.

You guys don't have to like or respect this Chuck person, but give him a little credit for at least trying to make somthing happen. I don't quite get what the big deal is, this isn't the only place in the world with 2 410 tracks within 600 miles of each other. Knoxville is the top dog and nothing Chuck can do or say changes that. If a few guys jump ship to race at Husets, big freakin deal. Again if Chuck is such a loser these teams will be back to Knoxville in no time.

Maybe some of you Knoxville junkies are worried that Chuck isn't the joke you think he is, only time will tell, I think it will all work out and both tracks will be fine.

That purse for the Gold Cup Final is pathetic. If this is Chuck Brennan's answer to the Knoxville Nationals, he's more of a dumb ass than I thought. $50,000 to win looks good but shit, 10th place basically pays a hot dog and a hand shake. That race doesn't even deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence with the nationals especially considering the ridiculous admission prices he's charging. I feel bad for all the fans at Huset's Speedway because I have a feeling this guy is going to be bad news. I don't blame Terry however for racing there if he's being paid big money to do so. First and foremost, he has to take care of himself and I think any of us would do the same thing if we were in his position.

First of all the Z man left one of the races off the breakdown, $100,000 Silver shootout (first race of the year) 2nd the gold cup purse is x2 non and wing sprints, alot of money sorry the breakdown doesnt work for you put your own race together 3rd Chucks comparing all these events to races that have never been done before at Husets, in fact I believe he even said that the Nationals is the biggest sprint car race and would like to go sometime. these are all events he is doing for BMS, not knoxville not jackson or anywhere else. Its time for a few of you to get over it and move on.

I kinda see Sweeter's point on this one. As a Sioux Falls race fan I don't understand all the bitching. On Saturdays Badlands will probably have the McCarls, Dobmeier, Kaeding, Zomer, etc and Knoxville will probably have Lasoski, Brown, Henderson, Madsen, etc., and I am guessing with more cars coming out of the woodwork for better pay at both places that both will have better overall car counts.

As a Sioux Falls race fan I am now looking at seeing the best of Knoxville/NSL at Jackson on Fridays, the best of Sioux Falls/Grand Forks 410's on Saturdays and the best paying 360 show in the country on Sundays.

I am looking forward to the 2016 race season more than I have looked forward to a race season in 25 or more years. Compared to the dogshit race programs that Husets and Hartford have served up to Sioux Falls race fans the last 10 years this is gonna be utopia. IT CAN'T BE ANY WORSE!!! Why all the complaining?

Does anybody know what Clint Garner's plans are?

What you say does make some sense....but wouldn't it have been nice if they could have worked together? I know Knoxville will never change but think of Knoxville on Friday, Jackson on Saturday, and Husets on Sunday. Then throw in the NSL point fund. That could help 410 racing in the midwest.

Now to the Gold Cup. If he averages 5000 fans a night with the ticket prices he's asking, that's 1.35 million. Throw in beer and consessions....and the 7th place car gets $975???

Couldn't have said it better.

Before a race has been run he has caused Knoxville, Jackson and the NSL to raise their purses because of the purse he announced. If this was anywhere else he would be called a saint.

Yes, he said a few stupid things at the presser but it got people's attention. The idiots on here causing a fuss haven't been to the track in years and the only reasonable explanation is that their either jealous or scared.

What these outsiders don't understand is that this place was dying and it wasn't going to be around in another decade. Now there are record purses (in the track's history), we got guys that plan to run regularly that would have never done so, and the buzz around the Sioux Falls area that has never been so high

The real question is how is Knoxville going to pay that type of purse for the NSL shows without dipping into the Nationals revenue? Or will the just continue to call weekly shows after a moderate sprinkel next year as well? To me there are a lot more questions for what's happening down there then there is up here. But you don't see me making tons of posts every time the topic comes up like some of the tools on here.

If Husets were in Des Moines, I'd understand. But it's 300 miles away. The idea that a guy would give up what is by far the best night of the week to promote an auto race because some track 300 miles away operates that night is just strange to me.

I know one thing,  If social media does in fact hurt racing.  All three of these tracks should be under before July Smile

What's the regular Knoxville purse? What I saw listed was the NSL purse at Knoxville.

People need to let go of the idea of a three night Jackson-Knoxville-Husets ( I will always call it Husets ) weekend.  It is not going to happen so STFU about it.  We get it...it wouldve been cool, but that is still a lot of driving.  Guys can make just as much if not more driving much less.  Knoxville fans sound like jealous ex-girlfriends that see you with someone hotter than them!

I agree about the three night deal...what's done is done. I was disapointed by the outcome, but it is what it is. What I see is one guy comes in with money and works with the area tracks......Knoxville, Jackson, Huset's, etc.....that being Tod Quiring. Another guy with money comes in with the attitude screw the rest of you and what you've done all these years, now it's my way. That's when big money messes things up. I'm closer to Jackson and Huset's  than Knoxville by a long shot....but I'm done going to Huset's (he won't miss my money, so no big deal). And that has nothing to do with jealosy. It's a pretty strong rumor that Brennan went so far as to buy a house for McCarl in Sioux Falls to make it convenient for him.  Whether he went that far or not who knows. But McCarl was bought, plain and simple! Is that what we want the area sport to become? Hired gun drivers and an ego trip among owners? Running Knoxville and Jackson, both round trip is 520 miles for McCarl. Running to Jackson, to Huset's and home again is 622 miles. That dispells the notion of those who thought the choice was because of convenience.  As for the rest of it, I've never liked McCarl anyway so I could care less where he drives. With me it's about some blow hard with too much money not giving a shit about the area sprint car racing, when he could be helping it to grow all around.
