Why is the UMSS no longer racing at SCVS?

The way I understand it was that there was a parting of the ways between the two owners.  Cedar Lake was waiting in the wings to snap up the Traditionals as they have good car counts and the series is generating a lot of interest.  I liked the racing at Saint Croix, it's the perfect shape and banking for non-wing cars.  Nevertheless, it's a difficult place to get to on Friday nights and it's more convenient to go on Saturdays so I'm OK with it.  I like the Late Models so this way I'll get more opportunities to see them.  Meanwhile St. Croix could still host a few Sprint shows, never say never.

From SCVR's facebook page:

St. Croix Valley Raceway

It is with mixed emotions that I inform everyone that I will not be operating SCVR next year. It has been a joy to work and interact with our awesome employees, teams and fans. I want to especially thank the best employees I have ever worked with! Your dedication and hard work helped create a culture that is rare in this industry. Also, without the support of my business partner Rick Mastell, none of this would have been possible....thank you Rick!!
Our goal is to have a new... operator and/or owner for SCVR as soon as possible so that there is a smooth transition into the 2016 season.
Work has already begun to find the UMSS Traditional and Micro Sprint Cars an additional and/or new home(s) for 2016 and beyond. There will be announcements as soon as plans are solidified. The UMSS Wing Sprint Car program will be status quo for 2016 and race at various tracks.
Thanks again - Ron Bernhagen
