It is with a heavy heart that I inform our racing community of the passing of a long time car owner/driver James N. (Jim SR) Ruth.   We lost him Monday morning Oct. 5th.   Jim SR. also known as Big Jim, truely loved the sport of racing and specifically sprints.  Sr started his career back in the roadster days.  Sr was a big fan of mopar and was wekll known for running Dodge Hemi and plymouth engines throughout the years.  Some of the drivers to drive for my dad (that I can remember) Tony Farr, Bob Evans, Curt Waters, myself, Kevin Burd, Don Burke, Kirk Alexander, Mel Murphy, Ed Reed, Alex Grigoreas, Gary W Howard, Jordan Hermansader, JJ Ercse,  Jimmy Crawford, Jimmy Thornell, Dwayne Marcum and I may have missed a few in there.  Sr loved the racing community and everyone involved.  I will miss him (and his pipe).  Petie is doing as well as can be expected.

Per Jim SR.s request there will be no funeral services.

Thankyou everyone,

Jim (Jr) Ruth

Sorry for your loss

Sounds like you had alot of great times with your dad at the race track.  Quite a list of drivers Smile who no doubt had good times with your dad too.

Thoughts/Prayer for you and your family.  Missed but never forgotten.
