Jesus, glad I didn't go. One traveler shows and kicks their asses. Went to an all time low 3 races this year and only 1 IRA. Too bad, series used to be really good. Series has lost a lot of talent. I guess the economy has taken it's toll. Too bad the bad drivers have the rides while the guys who could win don't .

19 different winners and a points tie going into the last night. car counts often in the 30's not good enough eh! looks like an even and competitive group to me.

I mean... if a guy doesn't sweep a show, I wouldn't really consider it an ass kicking... For about 5 laps in the feature, the top 4 cars were only seperated by 10 or so car lengths. It was actually one of the more competitive races I have seen at Dodge County.
First you complain about Balog always winning and it being boring, then you don't come to any shows on a year that saw over 10 different winners, and a points battle that is LITERALLY coming down to the final night with Schmidt and Rose TIED at the top, and Neitzel only another 22 points behind. I don't think anyone really cares if you ever come to an IRA show ever again. Crowds are up this year, the racing has been fantastic, and the points battle is coming down to the very last lap this week at Plymouth. I think anyone involved with a series would consider this a winning year for sprint car racing in Wisconsin
Real race cars don't have fenders...

I really like the part where you mentioned that no one cares if SW ever comes to an IRA show ever again. At the very least, stop posting about it.
Saturday was another fun night at Dodge County, looking forward to this weekend at Plymouth and 2016.

What an entertaining year for the IRA!! Great racing the whole year, outstanding shows at Angell Park, 18 differant winners with 30+ cars every week and a points battle coming dead even to the last night. It doesnt get much better than that!! For a bunch of competitors who for the most part are working guys doing this is a hobby... we sure are lucky to have this in the midwest, or anywhere!! As far as Balog, I heard rumors that he will be back full time with the IRA next year, which I hate to say it, would be terrible for that series. I know a handful of people who made over 3/4 of the shows again this year, because it was something worth watching again. To see him get chased down Friday and passed was excellent, but chances of that happening consistantly throughout a year are slim. If he comes back to the IRA, it would stink up the show on many levels, especially from these crowds back on the rise. He has a national level operation.... stay there.

Well said sprinter44!
Instead of biotching about what is WRONG with the IRA, I challenge all the complainers to donate your time to make the IRA better. Call Steve with your ideas and suggestions!
I've been watching the IRA since the days of Whitey Harrs, Bill Bohn and Roger "Von" Otto and I really respect and appreciate the drivers, owners, tracks and the IRA team. These guys race part time because they love it. Are they as good as the WOO , All Stars or NSL teams? No,but again, these are part time racers. If you don't want to support the IRA, that is your choice but if the IRA folds, don 't complain when you have to drive 5-6 hours to see sprint cars!

i am from chicago area and have attended 9 ira shows this year, all 9 shows had a different winner and it was on the last lap coming off four for all of them to see a winner. the competition i felt was really tight and exciting. i would absolutely say the best racing i have seen this year for the ira has been at angel park ! would love to see the series hit illinois a little more often though, perhaps kankakee sppedway would be nice, lasalle is ok but a lil small. ira has done a very good job with this series and besides you have to love ray the announcer, hands down he is one of the best!

I thought that this was a very good year. Someone said that if Balog came back, it would stink up the shows. I agree, with all due respect to the man, and his ability to wheel a Sprint Car. I traveled to a record amount of shows this year BECAUSE I knew there would be a hell of a RACE to see. I saw many different winners and loved every lap of it. I plan on attending many shows next year also, and look forward to seeing much of the same. Some of that plan may depend on the competition. I am here to support the IRA, and this Saturday night should prove to be interesting. I wish I could make it. I guess I will have to depend on the slow posting of results. (maybe this can be addressed next year)

Get a Twitter account and IRA updates frequently through the night along with several other teams, Neitzel and Reinke social media people do a good job keeping people up to date.

Just about every week has been a great show, and the season championship comes down to the last night. As far as your travelling team bullshit, years ago there wasnt such a huge gap in technology. IRA is made up of working guys, on a budget with family and friends as crew. Travelling teams come in with shock dynos in haulers, paid tire guys and crew and run 3-4 nights a week. The IRA series should be proud of what they provide 410 fans in the area, 30+ cars every week, 18 differant winners and a championship to be decided on the last night with great crowds every week. What other sprint series can claim ANY of those facts other than a good crowd.

Ok I'll complain now. Let alone the IRA show in itself is gonna be weak tonight but according to everyone very competitive, they dumped the only thing I feel many would want to see and that's the Hales Corners late models. Why? Used to be a great show with them instead of the MSA dogs. They try to promote this great night of racing with this all sprint gimmick. The late models shit all over the MSA.

At one time MSA put on a better show than IRA. MSA lost alot of drivers to IRA, but MSA young drivers are starting to get the hang of it and I'm sure MSA will be good again. I say horsepower does not make a good race!

Goldfish have fishpower not horsepower! late models have more horsepower than the 360 sprints but I will not watch a late model race. jmo. enjoy your goldfish race
