(Oxnard, CA 9-16-15) Ventura Raceway will host a King of the West winged 410 Sprint Car Series race on Saturday night September 26, at our Ventura Fairgrounds facility. Last year Kyle Hirst took the first ever winged sprint car race at Ventura. Racing was exciting from qualifying, to the opening heats and until the final lap of their 30 lap feature event. This year promises to be even more exciting as these winged warriors return to make their second appearance at Ventura Raceway. All the top drivers in this series, including Bud Kaeding, Carson Macedo, Bobby McMahon, D J Netto, Dominc Scelzi, many time champion Brent Kaeding, Tim Kaeding, Johnathan Allard, Shane Gobolic, 2014 winner Kyle Hirst and many others. Several VRA competitors have made plans to compete as well. Cory Kruseman, Greg Taylor and others have commented that they will be competing.
The Golden State/ King of the West Sprint Car Series is the premier tour for Winged 410 Sprint Cars in the West & in 2015 will be held under the leadership of John Prentice and Brent Kaeding. The series will compete in races throughout the West. Many of the biggest Sprint Car events in the state are KWS sanctioned, including the Dave Bradway Jr. Memorial, the Cotton Classic, the Tribute to Gary Patterson, the Howard Kaeding Classic, the Pombo/Sargent Classic, the David Tarter Memorial and more.
A number of Sprint Car stars have come from the ranks of KWS & its predecessors. Those include 2010 champion & current Ganassi Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Kyle Larson, 13-time KWS champion Brent Kaeding, two-time World of Outlaws champion Jason Meyers, current World of Outlaws stars Paul McMahan & Tim Kaeding, Tim Green, Jimmy Sills, Steve Kent, Bud Kaeding, Tyler Walker, Jonathan Allard, Ronnie Day, Randy Hannagan and more.
Also racing that night will be our VRA Senior Sprints and VRA Dwarf Cars.
This is a special event and admission prices are $25.00 for adults. $15.00 for Seniors, Military and Students with school photo ID. $10.00 for kids 7-12 and kids 6 and under are FREE. Pit gates will open at 12 Noon and front gates will open at 3:00 PM.
