I know Donny is on a roll and having one of the greatest years ever....

BUT,

It seems like I'm seeing Rico get the best of him a lot when I watch those awesome highlight reels from the WoO website...

Does anyone by chance have a head to head comparison between the two this year in winged sprint cars?

If Steve Kinser came pint sized.   Thats would be Rico!  A absolute giant on the track and a beast behind the wheel!

I know we all like to pretend that Donny won't win this Saturday, but lets let Eric Clapton answer this.

How many times must we tell the tale?

How many times must we fail?

Living in lost memory.

The #15 just called.

Working on the speed of the car.

Trying to get the set-up right.

Crews stay up working.

Should just stay home Saturday night.

That's when she said she was pretending.

Like she knew the plan.

That's when she said she was pretending.

Pretending to understand.

Pretending, pretending, pretending, pretending.

Satisfied, but lost in 2nd place.

Situations will not change.

You're never as fast as you think you are.

How strange.

We get lost in chasing the #15.

Sadness will prevail.

Everyone knows how strong Donny is.

He can't fail.

Don't be pretending about how you feel.

Don't be pretending, that your love for Donny is real.

Don't be pretending about how you feel.

Don't be pretending that your love for Donny is REAL.

"Delirious" by Prince comes to mind.

I get delirious whenever you're near
Lose all self control baby just can't steer
Wheels get locked in place
Stupid look on my face
It comes to makin' a pass, pretty mama
I just can't win a race

'Cuz I get delirious
Delirious
Delirious

I get delirious when you hold my hand
Body gets so weak I can hardly stand
My temperature's runnin' hot
Baby you got to stop
'Cuz if you don't I'm gonna explode
And girl I got a lot

I get delirious, yeah
Delirious
Delirious

I get delirious whenever you're near
Girl you gotta take control 'cuz I just can't steer
You're just to much to take
I can't stop I ain't got no brakes

Girl you gotta take me for a little ride up and down
In and out and around your lake

I'm delirious
You, you, you get me delirious
Baby, lay me down
Delirious

The room, the room, the room is spinnin' around oh yeah
(Delirious)
Yeah, I'm delirio', yeah, oh I'm, oh I'm
(Delirious)
Yeah, delirious, yeah

It's got me in repair, everybody you gotta
Everybody, oh Lord, oh yeah, I'm delirious
Yeah yeah yeah
(Delirious)
Yeah yeah yeah

Delirious
Delirious
Delirious

I'm partial to remixing that great Commander Cody song: Down to seeds and stems again

---------------------------------

I'm sitting alone on a Saturday night, watching the late, A main racing show
A bottle of beer, some cigarettes, I got no place to go
Well I saw your other man today, he was wearing Kinsers crown
And I'm losing to Donny Shatz again too

Well I met my old friend Steve today, from up in Bloomington
He had the prettiest green car, that I'd ever seen
But I couldn't hide my tears at all, 'cause he lost it just like me and you
And I'm losing to Donny Shatz again too

Now everybody tells me, that there's other ways to get by then the high side
They don't seem to understand, I'm too far gone to try
Now these lonely memories, there all that I can do
And I'm losing to Donny Shatz again too

Oh, my dog died just yesterday, left me all alone
The finance company dropped by today, and repossessed my home
That's just a drop in the bucket, compared to once again losing to you
And I'm losing to Donny Shatz again too
Got the losing to Donny Shatz again blues

-------------------

Smile=

Cheers!

Thanks for the stats...so he beats Donny a third of the time.  Anyone else have better percentages than that that have competed at least ten times?

Comparing Rico to Schatz is a real stretch, no pun intended. Referring to Rico as a small Steve Kinser is even worse.

I think Shane Stewart has the best shot at him.

I'm kind of partial to my own tunes and if Schatz wins another one I'll be screaming "Is This a Dream" at the top of my lungs.  LOL   https://www.reverbnation.com/skmeissner/song/24072519-is-this-a-dream-asylum-of-fear

Rico is fast as hell. He has a legitimate shot. He needs to sh!tcan the asphalt for the weekend. Knoxville pays better than K&N anyway.

Once again, I think format favors time trials too much... Stewart wins A-main & is 5th in pts.?

How bout TTs & heats have equal pts.?

I know, "buy my own track" yea yea

What kind of sucks about this format is drawing for the time trial. If Shane would have been at least the 20th car to time he would have had a much better time. But now they got 50 laps and that open red halfway through gives anybody a shot. And the Friday night show gives everyone a second chance which was a great idea. It was all about that pill draw tonight l thought.

The reason the Nationals format is perfect is because every time a driver is one the track, he has to be fast to score lots of points. Stewart started on the pole and passed no one in the feature. More points is the reward drivers get for being fast in time trials, then passing cars in the feature. Eighth to second in the feature is much more impressive to me than winning off the pole, and deserves a higher point total.
