Don't mean to kvetch at all about the track conditions or the racing (or at least the non-wing racing). But, did anyone else wonder about all the time it took to plow through a three-sanction show? I left at 11:40 as the 305 wings were headed out after the sudden cancellation of the rest of the USAC WC feature. (When did the KWS checker fly? 12:30? 12:45?) Yes, I saw all the wrecks and the reds. I get all that. But there were several "extra-curriculars" that seemed to be head scratchers, as well as long dead spots I couldn't account for. (And, as usual, the food concession at Tulare ran out of hot dogs by 10:00 pm. What's with that?) Hopefully, the Powers That Be will tighetn things up next year. This has the potential to be one of the summer's major shows, but one might think twice about driving 150 or 200 miles if one has to drive back the same night.

Thunderbowl Raceway concessions ran out of hot dogs at 10:00 PM?  Curse them!  How dare they not order up enough hot dogs to serve them after 10:00 PM!  What happened next?  I suppose they also ran out of chili cheese fries and Frito boats by 11:00 PM and candy bars by Midnight?  What are the fans expected to do when they want a quality dinner during the main events?  I'm not going back unless they can assure me that fans can load up on crap before driving home!  LMAO
