Imagine if they are going to have PPV they will not announce it in advance. Don't want anyone staying home instead of attending in person.

Can't make it to attend live. Already spent a weekend there in early June for the Dream. I like to watch all the big races (sprints & late models) that are available via the internet when I can't go to them. They did it via PPV last year for the first time.

Do you think that they wouldn't have a PPV? Seriously, they know people can't be there, and they're already setup to do live PPV for every show....they will gladly broadcast and take your money
do it in the dirt

I do know a few tracks that no long offer (at any price) PPV, I think the promoter (s) thought it hurt the crowd.
It's a shame, not everyone can attend races across the country, more fans in persona and on TV is a good thing for promoters. Anyone who has been to a race, knows the experience is MUCH BETTER IN PERSON. Some sports translate well to tv ie football, baseball, nascar, f1, etc and some spots like hockey and sprint car racing don't. I would think the promters would be much better off getting the revenue from PPV, than not offering. Plus if the action is really good, fans are more likely to attend in person, just my $.02

A couple things come to mind for me.....I do believe that more fans would purchase that can't make it in person, than the supposed number that would stay home to buy the PPV instead....Profit is a must for track owners and promoters and all fans understand that. But I sometimes think that the thought of $$$$'s comes before fans in some decision making processes when it should not. PPV in the largest boxing events is the events biggest revenue. Woiuld that hold true for a sprint car event. No. But it would surely add to the profits. The Kings Royal is probably the second most traditional and second largest event in sprint car racing. Why should anyone be deprived, when it won't take away from the profits of the event?

I'd buy the PPV if they just walked around filming the crowd in turn 1 and some of the camp ground post race activities.
