Kevin Swindell has entered the Nationals in car #13. Any clue what car this is? My guess is the same car Leffler ran.

13 car is the Tom Buch sprinter....Swindell is in the IRP 360 which also has a 410 entered without a driver...Hoping Haud gets the nod in the 71 410 which he was in down under earlier this year...Always fun each year to see the late deals put together for the Nationals...Just hope someone can tame the 15 car!!

My question is whose car(12x) is it that Wayne Johnson is going to be driving?

after last season, surprised Swindell is even in the 71... he was pretty steamed last year when his equipment broke in both nationals, as good as he is on a part-time basis, it's pretty hard to keep all 4 on the groun when axels are breaking

It will be fun seeing the Tom Buch 13 back on the track at Knoxville, especially with Kevin behind the wheel. Could be a potent combination.

My thoughts exactly as Kevin has been pretty impressive when running at Knoxville. Is he running in anything on a regular basis right now?

No Axles broke last year. Kevin thought the steering gear broke, but there was never evidence. More than likely he was driving over his head (and the cushion) when he hit the wall.

Another post by an epert who knows nothing other than speculation. You are correct on one of your statements. It was not the rear end. He was surely not driving over his head as you stated. But there was definately mechanical failures in the steering. Not sure where you got your evidence. I sure don't recall seeing you at the shop during failure analysis. I can assure you no drive is in control when you lose steering at that or any track. Apology accepted

Steering gears break all the time - after you hit the wall. A broken gear in the shop does not prove what happened. Take your wanted apologyu and shove it in your dickhole. Kevin hit the wall on his own.

Thanks for the plug. For those still interested I'll post once again. Anyone in the DFW area looking to go to Knoxville, Iowa Tuesday Evening-Wednesday morning and returning on Sunday. Looking for alternative to flying. Email me at TDB181at yahoo if you are toying with the idea.
Clarifying although I really don't need to. NO BEGGING IN MY POST from what I read! You can ride with me, or we can work out other arrangements. I don't care to drive this alone and it makes the trip much better with good racing fans. We can have good clean civil race discussions. This is a good 20 hour drive round trip. For the one that I rode home with a few years ago we have become good friends. For the ones that have ridden with me, we are as well. Racing people helping racing people is what builds the sport. I don't have time for the negatives. But once again thanks for the plug and thanks for researching my posts.

Kevin beat an 80 car field in the first ever CAPPY race and was the Speedweek Champ that year also, kid can drive a sprint car if it stays together. Having said that I know nothing about any mechanical issues whether they be true or false, rumour or reality....

MSPN, you must be getting forgetful now that you are up in age. Bronson Maeschen won the first ever CAPPY race. Kevin however did win the second Cappy race.

I don't remember if it was last year or the year before, but he was running 3rd with around 10 laps to go when the fuel pump came loose shutting the motor down.
