New Face Sits Atop NCRA Modified Points for This Saturday Night!
Park City, Kansas – June 23, 2015 - A new face will lead the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products modified division into action this coming Sunday night at 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas and will be the second Nebraska driver looking to take the championship to the “Cornhusker State.”
After two events, Andy Wilkinson of York, Nebraska currently sits atop the NCRA modified point standings. Wilkinson ran his first ever series event when the tour made their inaugural visit to Butler County Speedway in Rising City, Nebraska (finishing fourth) and also made the trip to the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson this past Sunday night, finishing third.
Wilkinson comes into the night with a slim 15 point lead over defending tour champion Dan Powers. Josh Lanterman sits 25 points out of the point lead and sits second while fellow Nebraska driver Jon Thompson is 50 points behind in fourth.
Rounding out positions fifth through tenth are Tyler Davis, Dustin Moler, Clint McFadden, Ryan McAninch, Bob Bills and Tom Svoboda. It will be the first event on the 2015 race season at 81 Speedway, the home track for the NCRA.
Pit gates this Sunday night open at 5:00 PM with race action slated for a 7:00 PM start time. Also competing will be the “winged warriors” of the NCRA sprint car division.
