Who's ready for some sprint car action?? This coming Friday, April 24th will be just the second ever all-sprint car show under the current ownership of Eagle Raceway!
The IMCA Racesaver sprint cars will be the support class as the USAC Amsoil National Sprint car series makes their annual visit to the high banks.
Chase Stockton currently leads the points race over Robert Ballou, Brady Bacon and Dave Darland..
Front gates open at 6 PM with racing starting at 7:30. Tickets are $18 for adults, youths are just $5 and children 5 and under are free.
Pit gates will open at 4 PM with pit passes costing $30.

I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks
anywhere.

"First ever all sprint show under current ownership"?   Did Eagle get new ownership since last year's Rumble in the Bullring?   I only remember the 360's and USAC cars....was there a fendered class I forgot about?

IMCA Racecievers are 305s aren't they?

Whew,  I thought I was getting old-timers!    I know there was LMs and Mods the next night in McCool, but I was scratching my head trying to figure out what I forgot about Eagle!

What did I win?

Curse you Humpin,   I didn't look at the forecast until you posted this.      It doesn't look good but the forecast has improved slightly since yesterday morning.    (trending in the right direction)

I have to make the trip from Denver on Friday for other reasons,  hopefully you can reccomend a good blues joint in Lincoln in case I need to cry in my beer Friday night!

Too easy... The Zoo Bar in Lincoln has had great blues since the 1970s. Don't forget Speedy Bill museum, NOT to be missed. Its guided tours only, I think they start at 2pm... only one a day, check it out. Maybe the best in USA.

I wish I could be 2 places at once.... I agonized over those 3 races but New Orleans Jazzfest is calling my name. Was thinking about hitting all 3 on my way, but kind of scared to drive in Louisiana with Colorado plates. Last time I did that, spent a nite in jail for misjudging a yellow light.... not fun!

Thanks Rev,  Speedys museum is a must see anytime that I am going past Lincoln.   Went twice last year during this trip and had the honor of meeting Bill just a few weeks before he passed, at least one trip is planned with a newbie this year,  might go again on Saturday when they open up for a swap meet.

No worries about Colorado plates in Nebraska,  I make sure that nothing gets left in the truck by accident before I depart!  (I am sure their dog will go nuts if he gets a whiff of the carpets,  but I travel clean)

Yea, I'm not worried about Nebraska, but one nite in New Orleans Central Lockup is enough to scare the hell out of me.... or make me a blues singer?

& I didn't have anything illegal

LoL,  Nebraska has went on record to say that are aware that Colorado plates increases the odds of contraband being on board and are sueing the state in federal court because of it.

Stay outta new Orleans lockup this time and have fun.   I am pessimistic but gotta make the trip up I76 anyways.

I would definitely go if not for Jazzfest. As much as I like sprint cars, I've found dancing with a woman in your arms is more fun.....

This is as close as wingless sprints get to Colorado

True on both counts,  but you can always see midgets and Silver Crown just 6 1/2 hours down US 36 at the end of July.

If you were not already aware, they are reopening Colorado Motorsports Park in Byers (old dog track right on I70), running every other Friday night starting early May.

You will have to Google the schedule,  cut/paste is acting weird on me today.
