I think this looks like a very good schedual... The traveling seems very manageable. It looks hell a lot better than guy Webbs dumbass business race dates to the Dakotas & BFE Minnisota in which there isn't a sprint car in 4 hours of the Track.. The all stars is a regional series based out if Ohio. Nice to see someone running the all stars that has some common sense about traveling.

Looks like they picked up some of the Renegade dates. There are some tracks that were left off. I was really hoping to see the All Stars at Brownstown (IN), Grandview (PA) and Path Valley (PA) and a few other tracks but understand there are only so many weekends and they are trying avoid conflcts with other midwest big events.
Overall, fantastic schedule but would like to see some Indiana dates. Seems like those non wangers putting the wing on at a rapid pace

Just a thought, but I'm thinking they co-sanctioned with the IRA at Wilmot the last few years because no one would just go to see the UNOH ALL STAR, meaning the 2, 3, 4 cars that would travel to Wilmot. Co-sanctioning benefitted the All STAR, by giving them somewhere to run between New York and Minnesota/South Dakota on their annual "Rumble through the Plains" tour. It benefitted the IRA because their regular guys would run and the purse would be about doubled from a regular IRA show. The only one's who got screwed were the fans having a co-sanctioned race with just 2 or 3 All Stars, an elevated admission cost, and the time wasting "meet the drivers" or whatever they called it, when the young fans would pick the pill for where the first 6 would start. All fun? but JUST RACE and get us out of there earlier.

Making this comment shows you either haven't been west of Illinois or you're just ignorant.

My BAD!! I should've proofed my post. I was referring to the Minnisota track that got schedualed 2 years ago in which only 8 cars showed up.. There is no reason to take the ASCOC that far west since it is s regional series based out of Ohio..

I'm a half hour north of St. Paul, Minnesota, and Husets is around 5 hours so it's not under four hours. I believe that the Minnesota All Star races were held in Hibbing, Minnesota, on a week night. Hibbing is up in the iron range so it's three or four hours north of me so you can tack that onto the Husets drive time.
I don't think the poster was smoking anything. It's a pretty accurate statement. Let's see, 410 drivers in my area, Brooke Tatnell but his car is based in Iowa. Travis Whitney does a part time deal of about 15 races so he doesn't run the mid week events. John Sernett is still coming out a few times a year but probably wouldn't run a northern Minnesota mid week All Star race either. IRA cars are at least six to eight hours east of here over in the Milwakee Chicago area. Twin Cities and Jackson cars are all 360's or IMCA 305's so they're not going to run. The only other 410's would be up by River Cities which requires driving across Minnesota on state Highway 2 which is a two lane that slows down for every little town. My guesstimate is that's a good 4-5 hour drive to Hibbing from the Grand Forks area as well.
I've got a pretty good grasp of the lay of the land and how many 410's are around this area and the post about it not being a good idea for the All Start to travel to Minnesota is spot on. Successful Sprint Car races up in this neck of the woods are all weekend deals.

Stan, aren't the Layton's based outside of Hibbing? Also doesn't Leigh Thomas also have a 410 and he is in Duluth?

Where's Cos when you need him? I think I may need picture pages to explain this....................the poster indicated that not only aren't there any sprint cars in the designated area of Minnesota but HUSET'S, too. Get this? Huset's runs 410 Sprints weekly. There are sprint cars within four hours of Huset's.
