I mean besides the obvious...

Like getting away from the COLD!

And the fact that the quest for the $5000 points title and $36,000 in the USMTS Gulf Coast Border Region feature wins starts with a practice night 4 days later at South Texas Speedway on Wed, Feb 11th and oh yea...

THAT could turn into $50,000 if you win 2 regions and the USMTS Hunt, or $100,000 for winning 3 regions and the USMTS Hunt or...

***$150,000*** for a sweep off all 4 USMTS regions and the Hunt!

Besides all of that...

Here's 3300 more reasons to leave a little earlier and make a stop in Shreveport, Louisiana!

NOTE: USRA-'type' rules for this Boothill show. AR KK704 or IMCA G60 tires. ALL cars max spoiler height is 5 inches. No added bolt-on weight required for aluminum heads. ALL cars minimum weight is 2350 lbs. Later, USMTS will visit Boothill on April 25th.

One can sure learn a lot about their Modified for the upcoming 2015 season over these first 30 days or so of the season.

Are you one of those folks that makes their $$$ in summer primarily? Farms, construction, etc.

If you are free and able to travel to Louisiana, Texas and New Mexico for the next 30 days or so or some part of those 30 days, it could prove helpful to your racing program even if you can't travel border-to-border for $150,000 all the way through September.

Feb 6 - practice THIS FRIDAY, 6 to 10pm. Boothill Speedway, Shreveport, LA (USMTS races there on April 25th)

Feb 7 - the race at 3PM THIS SATURDAY for $3300 to win on NO entry fee. $100 to start. Boothill Speedway.

Feb 8 - practice THIS SUNDAY, noon to 4pm. Lonestar Speedway, Kilgore, TX which is one hour west of Boothill Speedway (USMTS races there on March 14th)

Feb 11 - practice 6-10pm, one week from tonight on Wed in Goliad, TX. That's the first of 4 USMTS Wed night practices for the GCB region that ends on March 7th (31 days from now!)

Long range forecasts are just a little more than guesses but I sure like what I see all the way through the first USMTS weekend. Highs 68-72, lows 45-50 and little to no chance of rain for the next 2 weeks at these various locations above!

Here's the coup-de-gras...
