I am wondering if the ASCOC/Renegades deal is going to have a significant effect on the car counts in Florida this year.  At this point, between Bubba and Volusia there are (I think) 8 410 races in FLorida this February, but 5 are ASCOC sanctioned while only 3 are WoO.  Some of the guys who have stated they do not plan to run the All-Stars at all are guys who would usually make the tow and could there be  a few in other places in the country who have been significantly "offended" by the situation they also would choose not to run ASCOC shows.

Obviously the WoO regulars will be there, as well as some others, but could there be a significant issue with the overall car count (a lot more incentive to tow to Florida if you are going to run all 8 races, instead of just 3), and could the ASCOC shows be in real trouble if there aren't a significant number of non-Outlaws there.  (Anyone remember the boondoggle last year at Bubba, when a number of the WoO drivers refused to run the non-Outlaw races at Bubba because of the wet track conditions, imagine if that happened again and there weren't a lot of other cars there).

Just wondering if this Ohio issue is going to have further reaching effects than we realize, or if the desire to race will overcome the misgivings.

I might be reading far more into this than is actually there. What do you think?

The Winternationals are advertised very little on the home page of the Bubba Raceway Park Official Website except for dates and advanced ticket sales. There are no big publicity releases about the races at all which I would expect with less than three weeks to their "premier" event. They have not even posted a 2015 schedule on their website, yet.

The Dirtcar Nationals atre getting the same lack of publicity on the Official Volusia Speedway Wesite. They, too, only have dates and advanced ticket sales. Their official 2105 schedule starts on 3/8/2015.

Not to be out done with lack of publicity is the All-Star Circuit of Champions that have not made a press release since Decembr 11, 2014 when they announced their schedule which included these two tracks. On their only limited amount of Buuba Raceway publicity is a box that says BUBBA RACEWAY PARK COUNTDOWN immediately to the right of that box is another box which would normally be a clock ticking down. Instead in the box it says, " We're sorry. This content cannot be displayed at this time. Please try again later".

This lack of publicity sure seems weird to me. What is your take?

I don't know if I would read much into it for Volusia as the dirtcar nats are completely separate from the tracks regular schedule and is run exclusively as a World Racing Group promotion.  I have seen commercials and received promo's via email about the event and seen it advertised in other sources.

Not sure what to think about Bubba, although there is a drop down tab on their website specifically for the Bubba Army Nationals which is the same as they had last year.

I know last year they advertised/bragged about the drivers that would be there  during the 410 races and it bit them when some of those drivers refused to run on the wet track...maybe they are just not being as loud about it in  case it happens again.  ASCOC is not the only thing happenning at either track those weeks and at VOlusia the crowds the second week are arguably larger because of more people being in town.(holiday week and it being Daytona 500 week)
