He is a has been, who with a lot of luck and some dirty driving snuck his way in. Hopefully, Larson will return the favor next weekend.

Uh.... potentially a couple million on the line. I am a big Larson fan, but I would have used him up too.

You my friend are an IDIOT. You came up with this same crap about Keslowski last week. Same thing anybody would have done when dealt the hand. This is a contact sport and sometimes it happens. Just like Newman said " Kyke used him up at the Eldora race so now they are even ". I'm sure glad you don't make race calls that matter because you don't have a clue about racing.

I doubt Larson is real upset. He knows the deal at his young age and has been bumped harder in a sprint car and midget. Larson is not the type of a guy that will get some big revenge in his mind.

For doing it once every 4 years and then on the last corner of the last lap of the last chance to win a championship? No. Newman has a whole lot of people to piss off before he can even be in the same gutter as Kez.

I wouldn't even say Keslowski is in a gutter so to speak. The guy does what he has needed to do to win. His outlook is simple, "Win races". If it requires him to put "A boot on some bodies neck", then he is willing to do it. He is there to earn a living not make friends. Once you understand this Keslowski is pretty simple to understand. Some folks say they would wreck their grandmother to win a race. With Keslowski there is little doubt he would do it.

Isn't it possible that Kyle's team for let's say $100k, would allow Newman to get by, Last minute negotiating between owners, oh ya

Just look at it this way, Kyle has a new best friend, for as long as Newman races. Newman owes him at least a little space in the future. Kyle may be able to take advantage of that some day.

was he door to door inside of him and use him up a little bit to make the pass and get in the finals of the chase? yes
was it dirty? clearly not
if he would have spun him out from the back, that would have been dirty... and still most of the drivers would have made a move like that if it meant getting in the chase

I didn't watch the race because I despise NASCRAP but didn't Larson ruffle a few feathers a couple of years ago when they set up that short track at Daytona and ran Late Models and modifieds? I do recall him punting a guy big time on the last lap to win the race. I like Larson but he's a racer and sometimes racers have to ruffle some feathers to get the job done. There isn't a winning driver in any type of racing that hasn't made contact with someone. It happens.

Larson switched his line allowing Newman to come under hm. Larson has a long future in NASCAR, he knows how to make it better for himself and allowing Newman to pass definitely helps

Had to be some kind of deal made. Kyle had to know that was coming. He could have lifted and then pulled down underneath after Newman washed up the track. Would have been awesome to see him do that and help Gordon instead of Newman. Oh well, his wins are just around the corner.

Here's the deal folks. Newman had one shot to get into the championship round. If that means using someone up to do then so be it. Larson didn't make the Chase and when it comes to that last lap, Newman saw him as an obstacle between him possibility winning the biggest championship of his career and not going forward. At that point a driver has to do what they have to do.
Similar to the previously mentioned Daytona short track race a couple years ago. It was a non-points race and Larson found himself in second place. In order to win he was going to have to dump the guy in front of him. That's what he did.
