I now know the whole story Thanks to a call from a true race fan.
reminds me of other networks that spoil for there benefit.

Markus Niemela: 2008 Formula Atlantic (road racing) champion. Finished sixth in that sanction in 2009. Switched to sprints in 2010 running mostly at Ventura. Has run USAC West Coast, USAC CRA, VRA, USAC Midget since then. Currently second in points in USAC WC 360.

Fast timer C. J. Leary has scored several wins in 410 sprints this year including Lawrenceburg IN (twice), Bloomington IN, and Kokomo IN three weeks ago.

Heat One winner R. J. Johnson is the current point leader in the USAC Southwest 360 Sprints. He's won at least ten features this year, according to USACRacing.com.

Heat Two winner Mike Martin came into tonight's show running sixth in USAC Southwest points with one feature win during the swing through the plains states at Wichita KS in August.
