It will be. The people behind the Fall Brawl are motivated. Their goal is to make it the biggest 360 race in the country. Other tracks better step up their game to keep up.

I can say that I will not be going back... I have been there every year since it started. The sprint car racing was absolutely great but, I will not sit through all of the cars in the support classes.
Just my personal thoughts...

It's the support classes that help pay for the parts you want to see. If you want to see events like this fail or tracks fail altogether, keep up the attitude.

excellent racing in all classes but to many yellows in the support classes. I enjoy seeing a couple support classes but don't enjoy yellows every 2 laps. very simple to fix, cause a yellow and your done.

I agree 100%. I just thought at amount of laps (30) for the modifieds was too many on a half mile as a support class. And maybe could have done away with the dash for the ledgends.
And Spot1.... I will continue to support the race 110%, wether it be with driver sponsorship, Lap Sponsor, PPV.... I just won't make the trip to physically attend.
I will also continue to drive out of my way to support Caseys General Store and if a manager rings me up I'm sure to tell them I do that because of their support of sprint car racing.

I told my wife before we left that with only 3 support classes that would have low car count, the races should be over by 10:30 or 11:00 at the latest. We had to be back home by 12:00 for various reasons so we had to leave by around 11:30. Needless to say we left before the sprint A main.
Can't understand how 4 classes can take over 5 hours to run. It doesn't help that they can't start on time. This late in the season, with picture perfect weather (Friday), they still can't figure out how to get going on time. Did they every consider when it's getting late to move the main program up and run the support afterwards? Not happy about missing the race we came to see. We planned on going Saturday but decided to stay home and watch the Nebraska game. Glad we did, it was a great game and it started on time!
Personally, I'd pay more to get in if they'd drop some of the support. Too bad, I was really looking forward to this race and felt pretty bad when we had to leave before the race was over . . .

WOW... Some people are never happy. I agree one support class would be nice a night, but its not gonna be a major factor in me going or not. I'm there to see the Sprint Cars as well, but take your jaded glasses off and notice the Sprint Feature took longer both nights. There was 6 heats Friday night and 5 Sat. 2 Bmains and the features for the Sprint Cars. I dont remember any of the support classes running a B, but I admit they could have as I was walking around the pits and didnt notice. I was a lil annoyed with the Late Models Sat. as well. The 1st 10 laps seemed to take forever, but once they finally got going it was ok. After their feature ended I was over it and ready for the Sprints.
A HUGE THANK YOU to the Staff at I-80 for busting their tails to get the race in Sat. I was up from Kansas City and probally wouldnt have stayed for Sunday, although theyd had my money for the two day pit pass and possibly had a bigger crowd Sun without the Husker game. Seriously I cant say I've been to most of these other tracks that are "marquee" on the ASCS schedule, but at best could only match how well the staff up there handles things. I cant wait to head back up there again, and again. Lets admit this race isnt up to the STN or 360 Nationals as far as car count, but if it continues to grow maybe we can talk about honestly losing a support class. And with the payday Dover got last year and Johnson made this year. Every 360 team in the region should take notice, this race is here to stay!

We will see if they can continue to get someone to insure this program as they have now paid out 2 years in a row. Eventually they will have to pay the 50k out of pocket instead of getting someone to lay off the risk.

I had this same thought..... Is the winner of the Friday night show guaranteed a spot in the Saturday show? If so does he/she already know what spot they're starting?

I thought the racing was great at I-80 on Saturday and what a way to top it off with Wayne picking up the bonus 50 grand. It couldnt have went to a more deserving team. I am kind of surprised (and yet not) to see all the haters on here about the night. The sprint car racing was excellent. The late model racing wasnt bad either if some would open their eyes. I get its not sprint cars and its not near as exciting for me either but the racing was still on dirt and was pretty good. I was glad to have the filler in between the sprint races instead of watching the Nebraska game With the late start due to rain a late night was almost expected. I thought they were crazy for reworking the track later in the evening during the intermission but the sprint car racing spoke for itself I thought. I for one will make the drive again if my schedule is open next year.

Obviously some of you don't understand that the race track got 2.5" of rain Friday night into Saturday morning and made the pits an absolute disaster. If it wasn't such a big race Saturday night they probably would have canceled. The racetrack staff was working the pits from noon until about 430 or 5 Saturday afternoon before trailers could even get into the pits. By having all of their track equipment working the pits, they were about 2 hours behind on track prep which caused a late start. They did an absolute phenomenal job to get the pits ready so we could race, but you all still want to bitch. If they would have pulled the plug so they didn't have to work so hard you guys would probably be bitching even more.

They reworked the track during intermission due to water seepage from under the front stretch wall. Water was coming out onto the track and making the surface soggy and slippery. Sprint car driver Ryan Roberts jumped into the grader and built a wind row along the front stretch wall in an effort to keep the water from running onto the track surface. It worked..or the show may have had to have been cancelled due to the unsafe conditions.
The entire I-80 Speedway staff need to be commended on their efforts instead of all of this negative criticism. All didn't go as well as one would have hoped but they got it in and it was a good night of sprint car racing. I'll be back.

Thanks for the info! Didn't know that was happening from the stands. That just makes me even more impressed with the night of racing and the track prep crew. I think the Fall Brawl will become a yearly destination for me. Hopefully they continue to rack up great sponsers for the event and keep the 50,000 grand bonus going!

I for one WILL be back to this race! I don't see how people can complain about this weekend, IF you were there and paid attention to the weather/ etc. The I-80 crew deserve a HUGE pat on the back for getting the show in on Saturday PERIOD! And, it was great racing. Yeah, the late models had a few issues at the beginning of feature, but if you watched the racing, not just the leader, it was good. Sprint car feature had how many cars moving up 6-10 spots?!!? what more can you ask for? I think Zomer had it won without the open red, but KUDOS to Wayne and crew for getting it done and winning $50K! Couldnt think of a more deserving team to win it. We have been to all 3 Fall Brawls, looking forward to #4 already!
