Destiny Motorsports just posted they have split ways with Jac. Where do you think they both will land?

In all reality that combo was probably doomed from the start. Haud and Benic are as polar opposite as you're gonna get. If that team wanted to go fast with Benic as the crew chief, they were gonna have to find a driver that is willing to drive the car like Scott sets it up. And if they wanted to go fast with Jac as the driver, they were going to have to find a crew chief that was willing to set the car like Jac likes it.
Looks like they chose the crew chief. Alternitively, it would've been interesting to see a Bonzai for Benic swap.

I don't think so.
He's only 56 years old. Still got a few good years left in him.

Nothing wrong with Jac. This car seems to be a bit of a revolving door. Who are they going to get that's going to ride it harder than Jac? If I remember right, Wolfe and Wimmer both drove the car last year (maybe more) before Jac got in it. Jac never sticks around anywhere for very long, but I think this is more of a matter of things not coming together with the head wrench than Jac not performing.
Would be nice to see him get back in the 59, although I think Kaeding is still involved there which probably rules that out.

I'm a jac fan obviously (see name) so my view is probably slanted. I went to ocala to start the year and noticed the same things. What seemed to kill them all year was qualifying. Once in the race they did well but never seemed to hit on qualifying setups. Hope Destiny moves forward well and Jac can land a quality ride

Jac looked great in the at Mercer. Top 3 in each of the All-Star races there. Young up and comer Adam Kekch could be a great combination here.

I remember whenever Sheldon had a weekly ride out here in PA in the 3w car. He slowly started to come around and was very close to winning a couple times at the grove and port royal.

Ditto here. Clyde hit the nail on the head. Wish Benic would have been the one let go. They had times where Jac really looked good this year in the 9W. At Atomic Speedway during Ohio Sprint Speedweek it was classic Haud outrunning Dale Blaney that night. Best of luck for Haud in the future. One of the all time greats. He definately is still a hell of a gasser!

It is refreshing to see the Destiny team not reach into the retread barrel for another driver like most every other team does. Derek has earned a shot in this ride. He has an ascs national win, an ohio 410 win, 11 USCS/regional wins on the year, and a 305 win to boot. 14 wins in the year. And the 410 win he has he held off the Destiny 9w to do it.
There is no replacement for cubic displacement

Not many more exciting than Jac maybe TK.He may wreck trying but I would say his desire to win is there and He looks to be in good shape Probably as many Jac fans as Sammy or Steve and his nickname says it all.Promoters love his type and will be remembered some day as one the the best gassers ever.
