Sat Aug 23rd at the Atomic Speedway, the Renegade Sprint Car Series will make its 1st debut at the high banked 3/8 mile oval for the 16th annual Freedom 40 paying $5000 to win and $500 to start, plus the winner will earn a provisional starting spot for the 1st annual Open Wheel Championships Paying $15000 to win and $1000 to start to be held Oct 23-25. The Freedom 40 which dates back to 1990 has played host to several legends of the sport with Jack Hewitt and Daryn Pitman being the only two time winners of the event. Drivers that have claimed wins in the Freedom 40 include Kenny Jacobs, Randy and Kelly Kinser, Chad Kemenah and Jason Myers. This race has also provided several upset victorys over the years and has seen drivers such as Joey Allen, Charlie Fisher, Butch Schroeder, Alvin Roepke, and Todd Kane pick up wins at the prestigious event. Who will lay claim to the 16th annual Freedom 40's $5000 winners share and join Cole Duncan with a guarenteed starting spot in the 1st annual Open Wheel Championships that pays $1000 to start. Will Chad Kemenah or Todd Kane join Hewitt and Pittman as other 2 time winners, will it be a Renegade Series driver claiming the series' inaugural event, or will one of Atomic's local stars (avg 30 cars with a high of 62) make some history and add their names to the record books. The only way to find out is join us Sat Aug 23rd at Atomic Speedway for the 16th annual Freedom 40 paying $5000 to win $500 to start and $150 B-main non transfer money. Maybe either Chad Kemenah or Todd Kane could become the races 3rd two time feature winner. Joining both Daryn Pittman and Jack Hewitt, each with two victories in the Freedom 40. Atomic Speedway is a high banked, high speed 3/8 mile oval located in Southern Ohio south of Chillicothe off rt23. The track Record belongs to Brock Mayes at 10.91sec Over 130 miles an hr.

This should be a great race. They have been doing a great job at Atomic since it reopened last year. I think this track will return to its glory days of past, I used to go every weekend starting 25 or 30 years ago and its getting back to the way it was then. For this being only thier first full year of being open they have had some great races already and more to come.

Just a few more days until the Renegades invade the highbanks of Atomic Speedway for the 16th annual Freedom 40 paying $5000 to win and $500 to start. Several drivers that are expected to be in attendance Sat that have previous wins at Atomic are Chad Kemenah, Greg Wilson, Cole Duncan, Dean Jacobs, Rob Chaney, Danny Smith, Jim Nier, Jimmy Stinson, Nathan Skaggs, and Todd Kane. Or might we see a driver pick up there 1st Atomic win like Danny Holtgraver, Caleb Helms, Taylor Ferns, Travis Philo, Bryan Sebetto,Kody Kinser, Randy Hannagan, Ryan Broughton, Aaron Higgins, Kory Crabtree, Josh Davis, Sam Ashworth, Ron Blair and Mark Imler. Just 2 months ago, Atomic had 62 sprints on hand, which ranks second in the nation for 2014 behind Knoxville's capy classic which saw 71, and are avg 30+ for there weekly shows. This event has already created a buzz in the racing world and guarentees to be a must see event. So dont wait till Sunday and read all the articles talking about how great the race was, just come out Sat night and witness it for yourself. Whomever wins the $5k and the Freedom 40 hardware, will go down in the history books as the winner of the inagural event for the Renegades Sprint Series. The Revolution is just 5 days away!!! Dont miss it

The speedweek show was 62 sprint cars. Doubt it will get that high with Mercer, Wayne County, and Attica running the same night. A lot of options on Saturday for people in Ohio. Should be a great show no matter where you go though.

If Atomic gets a good showing from its locals, there shouldnt be a problem getting 40+ easily even with those other tracks running. I dont know where you could find the totals, but I would be interested in seeing the avg car counts for all the tracks that run 410's weekly in the nation. I bet that a couple Ohio tracks would rank in the top 10, and Atomic would have to be in the top 5 averaging 30 cars a night. There has only been a couple Attica, Freemont, and Wayne Co locals come and race Atomic this yr and thats when there tracks are down.

Davis22 you need to revise your list of drivers because you are advertising drivers who have committed to Mercer like Danny Holtgraver.

Just found out myself that due to sponsership obligations Danny Holtgraver will not be there. Its not that were trying to falsly advertise any drivers, just sometimes plans change. Holtgraver will be running the Renegades series, but due to one of his sponsers, sponsoring the race at Mercer, they have chosen to run there.

Were down to about 48hrs untill the 16th annual Freedom 40 at Atomic Speedway, and the 1st ever event for the newly formed Renegade Sprint Car Series. There has been a lot of talk about whos running where and so on, so we have put together a list of drivers that have confirmed that they will be in attendance Sat night at Atomic Speedway. There is a couple drivers that have confirmed to be running the Renegade Series that have prior obligations and will not be attending The Freedom 40 but will be competing with the series at a later date. So here is a preliminary list of drivers that should be in attendance Sat, Chad Kemenah, Greg Wilson, Dean Jacobs, Cole Duncan, Danny Smith, Randy Hannagan, Andrew Palker, Brian Sebetto, Rob Chaney, Brandon Wimmer, Caleb Helms, Ed Numeister, Taylor Ferns, Cody Swanson, Travis Philo, Ron Blair, Josh Davis, Aaron Higgins, Jimmy Stinson, Mark Coleman, Ryan Broughton, Jim Nier, Kory Crabtree, Nathan Skaggs, Brandy Bower, Mark Imler, Nate Resser, Adam Strausser, Jessie McCreary, Randy Fink, Todd Kane, Caleb Armstrong, Cody Gardner, Jeff Conrad, Bryan Knuckles ,Sam Ashworth and Eddie Sloan. A few others that are possibilites but havent confirmed are Kody Kinser, Gary Taylor, Wes McGlumpy, Ryan Myers, Dean Kester, Chris Myers, Jamie Myers, Jimmy Light, Jason Dolick and Tony Beaber. With Atomic Speedway being one of the nations top dirt tracks, there is always the possibility that several other drivers may show up in hopes of taking home the $5000 top prize and a guarenteed starting spot in the 1st annual Open Wheel Championships that will be held Oct 23-25 which will pay the winner a whopping $15000 to win and $1000 to start. If you dont have this Oct date marked on your calender, you need to. This event will see 24 drivers do battle for the $15000 top prize and will also see 20 others who dont qualify for the big show battle it out in the Charlie McCann non qualifiers race that pays $2065 and $200 to start. Thats right, 44 winged drivers will be competing in a feature event on the final night of the OWC as well as the Non Wing Sprints running for $5000 to win, and the open wheeled Modifieds running for $5000 to win and an additional $5000 bonus if a driver can claim all 3 features at the OWC. There is also going to be a 10 car 10 lap dash for all 3 divisions that will pay $1000 to the winners.

Suggestion to Atomic about the big $15,000 to win race in late OCT. advertise to out of state drivers, and car owners. I think you could get 45-55 winged sprint cars and 40 non winged sprints with 10 drivers running double duty and maybe 3-5 drivers running triple duty.

We have been advertising to out of state drivers, as our trip to Knoxville was for that very reason. A lot of the top wing teams around have showed interest in coming that weekend or stated they were planning on coming, except for a few that are committed to the STN a 360 race 12 hrs away in Ark. We also got to talk to several top non wing drivers as well and several of those guys stated that as of now they are planning on coming with some pulling double duty. Some drivers with Schedules on there web sites list Atomic that weekend, but just like anything else, could be subject to change. And lastly, the modified portion could provide the biggest car count, as the $5000 to win for them is a HIGH dollar event.

You know Holtgraver is not coming and yet as of today you are still saying on your FB Page he will be at Atomic. Way to be straight up with your fans.
