Dale and Jac are the only 2 drivers that headed west. Is it time we say good bye to what use to be a top notch organization? I think so. It's pretty sad when your drivers don't respect your series enough to follow the tour!

I don't like multiple things about how they run their programs. But its not my series, so it doesnt matter how I feel about it. Couple things just bug me. Their sense of qualifying is even more important than the outlaws. Last year one of the local IRA guys didnt qualify well against them, won his heat and still had to start the feature outside the top 20 (or right around there). This year at Wilmot was a wreck fest. But only one car was sent to the back for each incident. Its the only organization I know that will not penalize someone from going off the track and stopping during an accident. If there is a crash and you are unable to avoid it and stop, why do you get your spot back in position? They apparently only penalize the car that they feel "started the incident". Idk, maybe I'm am just seeing this wrong. Does anyone have a ruling on why this is the case? I apologize if my post is misinformed. Just trying to understand how they run their shows

I'm guessing those are IRA rules because the All-Star shows that I've been too haven't been following those rules.
Weren't too long ago we talking about Ohio Speedweek (sanctioned by the "doomed" All-Stars) that had over 45 cars at every event including a 62 car count at Atomic...
The All-Stars will be fine, I do agree the western tour needs to be removed and they need to focus on tracks where they can get local cars to race.

yes they did have huge car counts for speedweek. Many of the drivers checks bounced as well that week, hence the rest of their followers stayed home! I couldn't imagine the WoO pulling into a race track with only 2 of their competitors.
There is a "STRONG RUMOR" of a new series starting that will be running closer to the Ohio region unlike the stupid travel the All Stars are currently doing! UNOH college is the supposed investor. It may or may not be ran by a current/former All Star member that owns his own business.....STAY TUNED!

I actually talked to Guy Webb a couple of days before the IRA/All Star show at Wilmot, which kicked off the West swing. He talked so damn fast that it sounded like he knew what he was talking about. I know he has his hands in Jac's and Blaneys back pocket, but that doesn't say much about the rest of his 'guys'. He relies on support, much like the Outlaws, but then why run Wilmot? They had 4 cars. Wilmot was a good turnout with 38 cars, take away the 4 and you have 34. There were a few regulars I believe, that did not race, and there were a few other travelors who came because of the purse. All in all, I thought it was a good show with a great turnout, but an All Star Show? PLEASE. To address an earlier post, I believe I saw written somewhere that Steve Sinclair said they ran IRA rules, which would explain the first caution for the first 360 but what about the next 2 360's that occurred in the A? NO FLAG........I did not see consistency, and was looking for a caution all 3 times, and there was only one. You cannot sit in the stands with that going on, and think there is any straight forward rule. Very confusing....

Most people to you talk fast and know what they are talking about in relation to you. if the rules were inconsistent, they more than likely were IRA rules.

As a driver that night I asked in the driver's meeting about the 360 spin rule since All Star & IRA are different. They decided to use a combination of both series rule. The IRA rule is if do a 360 in heavy traffic then yellow is thrown & sent to the back as it is your yellow. However, if do one basically on your own then for sake of time no yellow and penalized later. The All Stars do not penalize or throw yellows for 360 spin. So the ruling on the night was no penalty unless it was in heavy traffic and there was a need for a yellow for the sake of the competitors affected. Hope this helps clear up things. From a driver stand point the combining of the rules package for this show was well done.

Thanks Ryan, that absolutely explains it. You can see why it was confusing in the stands, as we are not privy to the rules changes. Thanks

Agreed. Places like Ohio, Western PA, Central Pa have strong weekly series that can support the car counts. Going that far west away from the homes of all the people who support your series is not smart. This week has a point fund I believe but who knows when that fund will be payed out. Chances are the winner will not even see that money. As for the rumor, heard that one as well and think its a great idea as well. Hopefully it materializes.

Another thing that is not smart is scheduling back to back races at track thats are almost 8 hours apart (Wilmot to Husets). The confusion of where people were starting after reds and yellows was definitely not IRA rules as I make it to 85% of IRA shows. In their shows, if you are involved in the accident and stop, you go to the tail, not just the car that "caused the whole crash". Also, how many times can you restart with the All Stars? Does anyone know?
