I was at I-94 speedway last weekend and noticed a few things that I was hoping to get some insight on.
1.Carbon Fiber hoods/body pannels, are teams making these themselves or are they purchased? I havent really seen much advertised about this.
2. Kerry Madsen had tubular rear arms that looked like they had a pivot point on them close to where the arm met the torsion bar, Interesting concept and neat to see guys trying different things.
3. KKR cars and a few others had plugs in their front hubs, for oil I would think?
Thanks for any info anyone can give on these.

1. Some teams like Kahne may make their own, but Aerodine Composites out of Indy also makes carbonfiber sprint car/midget bodys, along with a couple other Comopsite companies.
2. Don't have in in depth answer for you on this, over the past handful of years, there have been a few outlaw teams run em, not sure the purpose, only thing i can think of off the top of my head is a stiffer arm for a more positive transfer, less flexing when hot maybe.
3. Correct, almost everyone now runs oil in their front hubs, they spin 1000 times easier with oil vs grease.
