Ive loved going to dirt cup for twenty years yet last four years or so there are less cars, little crowds and not much to go for. This year looks worse as the word on street is only three or so cars from caifornia going and a handful from washington exist. Car count looks very low at best, long haul from california for a 2 heat, dash and a main for 2 nights and a B and A main saturday. Anyone have any positive news on car counts and info for dirt cup this year?? Thanks for input.

now that steve beitler is promoting not only skagit but grays harbor, we will see. always rains anyway. they should move the date to later in the summer...
Ascot was the greatest of all time..
West Capital wasn't half bad either..

Didnt the final night rain out just 2 yrs ago? Was supposed to be rescheduled during the WoO swing, but WoO rules didnt allow for another non WoO race run at the same track so close to its date? Also, i recall a few prelin nights being rained out the past few yrs. In fact, last year, they had to run the Friday night main even on Saturday during the day. Rain always seems to be a concern this time of year up there.

Rain in the Pacific Northwest? Naaaah that never happens. Shit just turns really green without any water from the sky.

Geez for someone called NWFAN you sure are negative about the area.
There has been some bad luck last couple of years for sure. If you look at the history of the event though, rain outs at Dirt Cup are actually a rare occurance. I've been going every year since the mid 90's and can only remember a handfull of nights that were rained out.
