RE: New SEL requirements for first time and returning racers

Effective with the race scheduled for June 21, Ventura Raceway will waive the Single Event License (SEL) and car registration fee for any driver and team racing at Ventura Raceway for the first time or who have not raced here since the 2012 season. The driver will pay a non-member pit pass fee for that one event plus car entry fee. This one time reduction in fees is intended to allow a first time racer or racer who has been gone since the 2012 season to visit Ventura Raceway at a reasonable first time 2014 season fee. In any event the driver must fill out completely all required paperwork for that event. If the driver returns for a second event he must then either join VRA at the fee amount for the class he is choosing to compete in or purchase a SEL for that event and pay a car registration fee. Drivers who have raced with us during this season or the 2013 season do not qualify for this one time discount.
Thus waiving of fees does not apply to IMCA competitors who are bound by IMCA rules that require all drivers to be IMCA Members prior to any competition in any sanctioned event.
