This weekend is fast approaching and I'm getting more anxious to see a "regular" take home the win.
Who do you think the top 3 finishers, who race at Knoxville on a regular basis, will be?
Brown, McCarl, Henderson are my top 3 however the Knoxville Crew is pretty stout this year so wouldn't be suprised at all to see some place in the top 10.

Heskin
Henderson
Dollansky
I would have said McCarl until he crashed Saturday @ Lakeside (sounds like he'll be running his wing on someone else's car, so I just don't think they will be on par with how they've ran the rest of the season thus far).

David, as a Flyers fan, I hate The Strangers, Penqueens and Les Habitants, that's why I said I would pay double. On top of that Doughty and Carter are both kids from my hometown here, London Ontario and Richards was a Flyers Captain, gotta cheer for the KINGS and Sammy this weekend at Knoxville....

Is there a worry that it may effect track conditions Saturday? If so, I'd say that's a pretty big scheduling mistake.

I believe it is still his car ....In a sense. I'm pretty sure it was built by his guys and is maintained at his shop, that's what I understand.
But yes you are correct that someone else owns it!

From the way I read Terry's press release, it's not the same chassis company, so it's unlike the ART he's been driving @ Knoxville all year. Since you only get a handful of hotlaps before qualifying, that is why I took him out of my top 3 Knoxville finishers (he's plenty capable). If they don't have it EXACT when time trials come around, and he times outside the top 16, that is what will ruin his night. If it was the car he's been running all season, I'd say he'd for sure be in the top 16, which gives you a chance for the dash, which gives you a chance to start up front and win.

The car Terry has ran at Huset's for Jermey Scadden is an ART with a Rider... Same setup as his own 24. The orange and black one he ran at East Bay and I 80 in April was a J & J...
Good luck to all the Knoxville boys this weekend!

I think for a WoO show it was McCarl in June 09.

Dobmeier won a prelim feature at the Nationals in 2011 or 2012. He made a pretty impressive pass on Jason Meyers & had a good battle with him - but I guess that's not officially a WoO show. Although it's probably more impressive than the standard WoO show at Knoxy.

The Knoxville boys always seem to do better at Nationals as compared to this show. Outlaws remain unbeaten on half mile tracks (excluding Shane Stewart's Eldora win who's going full-time WoO next year). Horsepower kills.

Well, this originally was to a post from Bill W bringing up concern over track conditions. Unfortunately, it appeared to be true. Huge crowd and the track was just not very good - no other way to say it. Talked to a few people who were there Friday and said that the motorcycles had it glass slick bottom to top.
I'm fine with Knoxville trying different things but it's kind of ridiculous to dump it on WoO weekend, the only true WoO sanctioned show of the year there. Not a good decision, at all.

You don't think the threat of rain and high wind had anything to do with it
But the people that you talked to were all experts right

There was little threat of rain.
And yes, it was windy, but I doubt that played as much a part as Friday night. I've been to Knoxville quite a bit and I've never, ever seen them once rework the track without rain being involved. Also, I've never seen a dust cloud over the track like last night.
I mean, it's right here - Bill W posted stating reservations about the track conditions with the motorcycles, I asked if this was a common thought and it appears I was close enough to the spot if he deleted his post. Don't have to look in very far to see that he was dead on. It's well known that the cycles like it slick and smooth, and that's what we got last night.

It was windy all day..30 mph constant winds, not gusts and somewhat hot.
It even lightly sprinkled, during hotlaps, perhaps it was a flock of birds.
If the flat trackers raced Friday night and it was windy all day Saturday could they even drop enough water to make the track race ready by 6:45.
I saw one racer on twitter bitch about the Duncans changing the track conditions for the WOO. Like I said given all the variables I think we saw a decent racing surface Saturday night and still got my money's worth. $30 still spent better than watching.....( insert any sport )

The motorcycle exhibition I witnessed on Dirtvision from the track Saturday was lots more exciting than most of the sprint car racing, not even close....
