It was FAR from a "parade"--again, just because a driver wins from the front row DOESN'T mean the race was bad. I invite you to watch the race on the Dirtvision archives and then tell me if you think it was a boring parade.

Would you expect him to say anything less?

Why would they completely invert and make it exciting for the fans. Its like Mario Andretti once told us at a press conference , "People dont come to see back markers run up front, they want to see the big names up front. Guess he's right cause the parades and freight trains continue coast to coast, year to year. You think they would change but they wont til us dummies stop going to the snooze fest, single file racing. But theres always a few that see two passes mid pack and call it a great race.

Far from a freight train or a snooze fest, was on the edge of my seat 85% of the race.

Still can't believe fans look at starting position and finishing position and automatically declare a race to be bad. This without even seeing it. People, a race can still be good if the guy on the front row wins. He can trade the lead with other drivers and retake it.

When are we going to stop crying about the pole starter winning the race! Would you rather see the second place starter win? Would that stop all the whining?

Something I haven't really ever understood is why there is a dash -- with a pill draw to invert the lineup of a race that determines how the all important front rows of a race start? Why not just wait til the feature to draw a pill to invert the front rows? Or just don't draw a pill at all except for a qualifying spot and let the rest of the night play out without that element of random chance. As it is -- the dash is an A Main 'preview' of a sort in which only a select number of cars (what is it this week 8?) get to participate.

A new poster registers to tell us how easily entertained he is. BTW, the second-place starter winning would still be the standard winner from the front row.

Why do you guys settle and want the fast cars up front when the racing would be so much better watching them run to the front from the back, seriously. Ive seen schatzdo it plenty, ive seen kaeding do it and a few more. It can be done but when the laps for a main are 20 or 25 or 30 its very difficult but 40 or 50 its a good chance to happen often. Pretty soon heats will 6 laps, semis 8 laps and mains 15 with no passing and youll be saying its great. Sprint Car associations better wake up and its fans should demand more bang for the buck! Less amount of races but more laps and full inversions when racing. And if you big track east coasters have all motor tracks and frieght trains maybe you should try a few bull rings where its more racing and no where to run and hide. Less power plant and more shoe. Just saying..............

Correct me if i'm wrong;
The purpose of qualifying up front is to increase your chances of winning, obviouly there ismore chances of winning a race starting from that position than any other, otherwise they would put you where ever is the most lokely for you to win.
That is the reason for qualifying first...!
Some people realy dont understand the principle of 'SPRINT' car, it is called a sprint car because it does a race in a sprint fashion, wich means quickly and fast and not for long, it is a SPRINT race.
I think there are too many NAPCAR fans pretending to be sprint car fan here. Go spin around for ours if you want, we are not into marathon racing, we are into sprint car racing.
It was easy for me to figure out that the person who wrote this post just checked starting positions and results. He actually never listened or watch the race, cause i was 1,600 miles away from Charlotte at race time and did listen to a hell of a battle between Saladana and Schatz with Schuchart on there tail the whole race.
I thought internet was to inform people, not misinforming or nagging or bitching for pleasure.
GO FIGURE...!

I invite you to explain why woo racing has been what it has this year? Front row winners
how the heck is it not a parade when front rows wins and everyone else jockeys for position but don't jockey for the lead?
im blown away with the product of WOO being what it is and people not telling themselves the truth about what there own eyes are witnessing.
im a diehard Woo fan and I will keep watching for a minute but will have to bitch I guess to get through what a crappy product I am seeing for what ticket sales cost.
when race after race Johnny Gibsons voice is more exciting then the racing then what the heck ya got?
one more critical thing....... If Joey won front the front row and everyone at the end of the race finished behind him of course, then how the hell was that not follow the leader???????????? and please damn it don't tell me I just don't get it cause I get it
Follow The Leader.......... Race after race after race after damn race

I feel sorry for some people... what a negative life they must have because it seems all they do is complain. Really? the state of the WoO has never been better! How could you not like last night's race?

I dont know how good of a race that was, I mean Schatz was under Saldana with perhaps a nose on him in the groove he was running durning the middle of the race coming to the checkers. Through in Schuchart sliding Schatz and having a great race and well I think it was very un-impressive. Smell that?
The races are what you make them, if you want a slider from Haud every corner and coming from the back then you were disappointed. Not every race can be Haud and his Eldora magic.

I think you all are correct, but running these cars up front in clean air is a huge advantage. As these cars run at some of the faster tracks it is almost impossible to pass because of the leader being in clean air. One of the only ways a leader is passed is when the leader catches lapped traffic. Then the leader has to deal with dirty air. But just one of my thoughts as to why so many races are won from the front.

The format allows the fastest cars to shine. Qualifying gives the faster cars an advantage for the rest of the night because of their lineup position. While it is possible to say that qualifying at some tracks comes down to the luck of the draw, over the course of the season it is pretty accurate at separating, seemingly similar cars. While it would be great to invert the faster cars to the back of the heats or feature, etc. but over the course of 60-100 nights of racing, that is a lot of extra equipment being risked.
While seeing faster cars come from the back almost always makes for a better race, there are a lot of tracks, that because of the weather, track prep, supporting classes, etc. are not going to allow even the best to come from 24th to the top 5. And IMO it is hard to penalize the drivers for being faster in qualifying. While I would rather see tons of passing all over, when I see the Outlaws, I want to see the best running at the front. I would prefer it not to be a one lane train track but sometimes it is out of the driver's and organization's hands.

I love the people who don't go to the race or watch it on dirtvision complaining about the quality of the racing. Totally ridiculous.
