I guess the good old days of hammer down racing at Chico our long gone.
When you go out to pack the track and it's dry as burnt toast it's time for a new plan.

Yes, there is a drought
So why would you water the track early and then stop watering so it's DRY for wheel packing.
I just hope they get it right with the water they have.
Burning off a set of tires every night at Chico, never though I would see the day.

JA went around the leaders Moore and Ensign around the top side whilw they were on the bottom. I thought the track was pretty racy.

Looked like a pretty good track in qualifying with the cushion being about 2/3 the way up the track and a cushion in the main event. Looks like there was moisture in the track.

2 weeks previous, it took 12+ hot lap session to bring the mud bog track for the Bradway Memorial into racing condition.

I was there for Bradway and that's just what I'm talking about. I don't know if the water truck driver has ADD or the one that's telling him what to do?
It's not rocket science make some notes if you have to.
8th place pays $200.00, set of rears tires $500.00 so it does make a difference to the car owner.
Now they are talking about dropping qualifing and just draw for your heat race starting spots, when was the last time you saw any passing in the heat races at Chico. I'm told this will save water, no one comes to see hot laps. Just pick a car class each week to bring in the track in and then start the show!
Don't get me wrong I love Chico.

I re-read your posts and it appears to me you are complaining about a dry track conditions and not enough water. Did you watch the video i posted? The track looked pretty good during qualifying and into the main event.
