Rahmer probably,,,,,...... Kreitz has one win at Eldora, what has he done out west....zero
You cant just win in one region and be HOF unless its HOF of that region meaning he is a pa HOF but not a national HOF
he isnt even that known outside of his region

I grew up in California and I knew who he has as a kid without seeing a race outside of Cali until 6 years ago.

I thought you had to very accomplished on the national level to get in the hall.
he hasnt demonstated on a national level for years and years he is HOF bound
He has proven to be nothing more then a good racer that has beaten Wrecker drivers, junkyard owners and locals.
take out his lucky as hell Kings Royal that he inherited, i got the dvd to prove it and what has he done outside of Pa????
great driver but not HOF worthy
|
This is just plain and simple bull$hit.
I haven't looked in a while but I'm surmising there's probably lots of HOF members who achieved and earned their fame more on the regional level than the national level. It has to be so because if the "national" record was the only determining factor, then the list of members would be pretty damn short....really damn short.
If you beat good regional competition in PA, OH, IA,CA, or wherever, and over period of 30 years or more - and continue to do so, then you deserve a spot in the HOF..........like Donie Kreitz, Fred Rahmer, and others - pick your region.

I'm gonna say it. Greg Hodnett will be a first go inductee. While I hate to see him dominate the way he does when he gets on a tear, but there are few better in the country. The fact he ran so strong in Florida a few weeks ago put a lot of people on notice. He's gonna be real tough

This seems doubtful, but what about Todd Shaffer?

Until a guy gets in who had well over 100 wins by his mid 20s..wins with and without wings, from east coast to west coast and even down under, wins in more than a couple crown jewel races, winning his last 3 races sweeping a friday, saturday sunday weekend at 3 different tracks, before meeting an untimely demise in a freak accident in the shop.. until he gets in I don't give 2 shits who the NSCHOF does or does not nominate or enshrine.
Loose is when you hit the wall with the rear of the
car, tight is when you hit the wall with the front of
the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and
torque is how far you move the wall.

It's the "National" thing that's the problem. Someone might be recognized in one region by those HoF voters but not known by folks in the other areas. Kreitz is a heck of a racer but not a racer who has won around the whole country.

To me being from PA, Todd Shaffer is a HOF caliber driver, at least on the borderline. He's done some amazing things in a sprint car and won a ton of races but in reality, his record against the WOO and record outside PA is not very impressive. That's gonna kill his chances.

Kreitz' career record is pretty impressive with lots of wins, big wins, WOO wins and track championships. I'd like to know is on this "list of others". Although he never tarvelled much, gis record is resopecrtable when he did travel. I can see having McCarl and Blaney ahead but IMO the 3 are pretty close. McCarl I'd put slightly ahead because he's won more on a national level.

He's won WoO races for four decades, in his own car. He belongs, down the road I'm confident he will. I wish I had a picture of his hauler to show people he still does it with too...

How many drivers have won big races with his own team? Kreitz is the only guy to win kings royal and the national open in his own team!

Having been raised on watching in the 80s as a 5-6 year old, believe me, I do NOT miss the days of Kauffman or Wolfgang winning 35+ races a year.

the last 5 years induction classes. Who do you remove? Remember, many of the drivers in years past raced in the EARLY 1900's. Who as a driver in the last 5 years would you remove? Kreitz is only 52 and wasn't eligible for induction until 2012.....
Is he deserving? Yes, but more than those that went in before him? Probably not.
