Shouldn't this be Sammy's retirement tour?  Steve is running up front!  Sammy was a lap down in Vegas tonight and finished 16th.

Somehow I get the feeling that if this WAS Sammys retirement tour you'd  still be giddy that he finished 16th and a lap down.

I can never understand why there is always so much negativity on these forums. Folks on this thread call themselves sprint car fans yet badmouth Sammy who is one of the best ever. I am not particularly a Sammy fan but I sure as hell appreciate the skill he has and love him or hate him you have to appreciate the excitement he has provided for so many years. Most people go to sprint car races because of the excitement they provide. Well they aren't too many drivers who have provided more excitement than Sammy. He probably won't be racing for many more years so maybe you ought to recognize what he has done for this sport. It is often said that when Kinser, Wolfgang and Sammy where at the top of their game it was the best competition ever. I agree with that. You probably will never have three guys in the WoO at one time again with the talent they had.

How are we bashing?? We're just saying he has really hit a slump since last years Kings Royal which he has.

He could win tonight and that's the way it is........ He will work his way out of it cause he is too smart and to good of a driver to keep getting the results he is getting

I don't think it's intended as being disrespectful to the driver but rather the fans of said driver who love beating their drum when ole' Sammy does well.

HAHAHAHA......................The only thing that could make Darrah look good is if he were on the same track as Danica and all of the other cars went home.

(Why do i feel like I have heard something similar to this before?)  DEJA VU

Did they ever get the engine issues solved from last year. I remember last year early in the season and the car looked and sounded down on power. Anyone know what engines he is running now?
