The World of Outlaws are set up for a fantastic year.  The scheudle is the strongest its been in years with expanded races in Cali and PA plus several more in other regions.  We have 15 full time teams and a sh*t load of part timers that can win on any given night.  I also think the WoO title is wide open with 7 drivers having a strong chance (IMO).

Full Time Teams (15);

Daryn Pittman
Donny Schatz
Sammy Swindell
Steve Kinser
Joey Saldana
Tim Kaeding
Paul McMahan
Brad Sweet
Kerry Madsen
Kraig Kinser
Jason Sides
Cody Darrah
Logan Schuchart
Bill Rose
Jacob Wilson

Part Time Teams (contenders for a win no any given night);

Shane Stewart
David Gravel
Dale Blaney
Tim Schaffer
Wayne Johnson
Chad Kemenah
Jac Haudenschild
Danny Holtgraver
Christopher Bell
Danny Lasoski
Criag Dollansky
Brian Brown
James McFadden
Sam Hafertepe Jr.
Rico Abreu
Terry McCarl
Greg Wilson
 Jason Meyers
Lucas Wolfe
Justin Henderson
Ian Madsen
Greg Hodnett

* plus all the locals in PA & NorCal

#1 Who is Jacob Wilson?

And #2 you can add Bobby Allen's boy to the list

I think that's what he meant...Jacob Allen instead of Jacob Wilson.

My bad, I was thinking of the 2013 Little 500 winner/pavement driver.  Yes, I meant Jacob Allen.

I got rid of all of my WOO stuff because someone on this forum told me the World of Outlaws was doomed.  ?  What gives?

Looks like i will have to buy all new stuff now.  Just proves that you can't believe what you read!

I agree--I think it is going to be a great year.  Too bad I won't be able to see any races in my area this year due to weddings!  Have to wait until the Nationals!

Not only the WoO, but I think sprint car racing in General is going to have its strongest year in a while. 15 quality drivers on the outlaw circuit with some great tracks, the all stars have gained a few quality drivers, Cali/Knoxville/PA will be strong as always. Looks like the sport is on an upswing now.

I thought Rico was racing full time with the Outlaws.   Am I wrong, or did he plans change?

If he's still running for Keith Kunz on the USAC National Midget trail, no way he can follow WoO full-time.

Rico is "EXCEPTIONAL" in a midget IMO, and is "above average" in a 410 winged sprint.  While the purses in teh 410's far exceed the USAC Midget purses, his talent is put on display more if he's in the midget, and if he wants to get to the "big time", he needs to showcase his talent as much as possible and that means putting a car in Victory Lane.  IMO, he's got a greater chance of being in VL in the USAC midgets currently.

Agreed. He spent all summer at Knoxville and still didn't win rookie of the Nationals. He is phenomenal in a midget.

It amazes me how often on this board Tim Shaffer's name is mis-spelled.  Is his name really that hard to remember???

I thought the WoO folded years and years ago?  Didn't the USA1 sprints or was it the NST sprints take over the world?   Please, no disrespect to Fred Brownfield, the guy had a great plan but the guy in the sky changed it all.  Still miss Brownfield---visionaries like him and Ted don't come along every day.  I've got Ted's 8 1/2 x 10 color photo in my curio cabinet framed up all nice.

PS  just heard that Dominic Scelzi (with partnership from Dennis and Teresa Roth) gas gotten approval from the the King of the West series to try using one of father Gary's "just sitting around"  Chrylser hemi funny car motors on one of their sprint cars.  But, they will mount the motor sort of like a super modified, sitting between front left and rear left wheels, sort of.  Turn left son, Turn left!

Lawlessness and liberalism equals Hell. NY City,
Detroit, Seattle, Chicago, Minnepolis, etc. We saw it.
Burning hundreds of buildings, a thousand assaults and
dozens of murders. Getting worser and worser.

Concerning Dom, He better put asphalt slicks on it too, since it won't work for shit on dirt with the offset. Oh yeah, and it will only be "legal" for open comp shows since Daddy's funny car motors are 500 ci...................
