Humboldt Speedway’s 2014 Track Schedule Released!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Midwest City, Oklahoma - January 23, 2014 - t promises to be another exciting race season at Humboldt Speedway during this 2014 race season and track owner/promoters Rhenda and Ryan Whitworth have released their schedule for the upcoming race season. Not only will the track affectionately known as “The Hummer” continue their weekly Friday night program, special events including; modifieds, late models; winged sprint cars and non-wing sprint cars.
The modified division will once again compete under the USRA weekly racing banner with B-mods, factory stocks and pure stocks also competing for weekly track points. The first play day for the 2014 race season will take place on Saturday, March 8th with the first point race for the B-mods, factory stocks and pure stocks taking place on Saturday night, March 15th. This night will see the United States Modified Touring Series make their first of three scheduled events at the track and a tune up for the annual $10,000 to win “King of America Modified Nationals.”
Saturday night, March 22nd will be the second weekly point show of the season before the above mentioned, USMTS sanctioned “King of American Modified Nationals” take to the track with a practice session on Wednesday night, March 26th with qualifying and features taking place on Thursday through Saturday night March 27-29th. The USRA Ray’s Metal B-mods will also be competing.
Friday night, April 4th, will see the first Friday night show of the season take place and the track will race virtually every Friday night from then until September 5th. The track will not be competing on the weekend of July 25th.
Other track special events include a $1000 to win Stock Car Challenge on May 9th; the annual Whitworth Memorial on Sunday, May 25th; Mid-Season Championship with live music on June 13th; $2000 to win for modifieds and July 3rd; and school bus races and a special event TBA on August 23rd.
The other USMTS event that will take place on the quarter mile clay oval will be on August 8th with a special $3000 to win event.
The lone late model event will take place on Friday night, June 20th sanctioned by the Midwest Late model Racing Association (MLRA).
The WAR 410 non-wing Sprint Car Series will visit on Friday night, April 25th while the Midwest Lightning Springs make an appearance on May 2nd. The popular Oklahoma based OCRS sprinters make their annual appearance on July 18th.

Humboldt Speedway is located off of Hwy 169. Take the Humboldt exit #224, go west one block to electric plant then turn left, go to stop sign and then turn left again. The track will be located one mile on your right hand side.
