ironically have this # still in my phone from last weekend when I went to the NHRA show, 1-702-362-0264, I believe it was called raceday shuttle? it left the Excalibur,Golden Nugget on fremont, and Ballys  to the strip(drag strip),/ LVMS, $45 round trip, I think there was another hoasted by Coach America last year (two years ago) as well during the WoO event, I had called the speedway on that shuttle for my dad and uncle to take. let me know what you find out, was thinking about giving them a call again soon just for that particular question.

My wife and I go out to Vegas at least once a year. Rent a car bro, trust me. They are cheap out there. You will waste so much of your time waiting on public trans or your $$ on taxis. And what looks like is within walking distance - isn't!. You'll walk your ass off out there! Trust me, spend a few bucks and rent a car. It's an easy drive to hop on the interstate and drive to the track.

And please eat some In-N-Out for me! Have fun!

Alltho, I cant disagree with the majority of your post, and the (previous) welcoming invite to car pool ( heck, sprint fans are the best) I attended the NHRA event with the idea I was going to take in the race and enjoy myself, as a grown adult, responsible and respectfull,  I proubly had four -five beers on top of one crappy hotdog,...  the shuttle might be a bit costly and a bit of a wait , i was reminding myself as i waited I did the right thing and spent a little more, waisted a little more time, but I arrived back to my motel safe and sound, with no possibilities of a DUI.  I took a nap and returned to the strip reenergized and ready for the nights festivities,  If you go to Vegas looking for a deal youll get spent somewhere else..  If all else fails, you dont know anybody there, or your connections fall thro, dont hesitate to take a shuttle, luckily enuff my party has attended past events they have been capeable of linking up with fellow fans, I cant disagree with the social atmosphere with fellow fans,  all else fails, just be safe.

I'm with larsonfan, rent a car. Go to Hotwire.com and for about $25 a day tax included you can drive wherever you want. You'll spend that much on a one ride to most anywhere plus you can driver out and take a tour of Hoover Dam while you are there.
