I got an email Thursay 10/17 from the promoter at Orange Show and Victerville stating the schedule for both locations has been cancelled. Very sad to hear that. The good that came back in 2013 was that Orange Show could still have a quality dirt race after 50 years. I hope there is a future for both locations. I congratulate everyone who helped keep the Orange Show streak alive.

Maybe the guy just doesnt want his thread hijacked by Ass 2 Mouth and his jaded biased views of everything and you other guys with your political shenanigans when he is trying to convey a news item which has interest for our community.

This is bad news to me, it is one racetrack that feels like it has been circling the drain for years and another that was just opened by sheer willpower and stubborness, closed. I feel the drivers / owners supported as they could, fan attendance from locals could have been higher, but that takes time.  Is is the fairboards keeping it so money is difficult to be made? Is it the economy in general? I know it has kicked mine and my industries hind end.

I do not know the answers, but hearing the stories up and down the coast of tracks that may be closing is the one dark cloud on my racing season. Support every track in operation where you can or else this is the reality for several tracks in the near future.

Enjoyed the 2 times at Orange Show, hope they come back. Only track threatened is Ocean, by the same dork. Don't see a threat there. NorCal tracks look healthy.

There are two other tracks in jeopardy if my discussions with the promoters hold true through the off-season. I won't spill the beans until those people have decided how they are going to proceed. Nor will I blame them if they need to shut the doors to the tracks to keep a roof over their own heads.

Never mind! Fair board voted unanimouosly to extend Ocean for 3 years.
