At Southern Oklahoma Speedway! Qualifying starts today and the main event is tomorrow. 5PM start both days.

Sport Mod, B-Mod, E-Mod, ProMod, STEMS-Mod, X-Mod, full-framed & 3-link Mods, whatever you're called, where ever you race, you're bound to be able to get legal in one of these rules packages. Time to pre-enter! October's the only chance you have to PRE-enter so let's do it and let these promoters know they have a good idea here!!!

It's race week! Preparations are under way at Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore for the first ever, "Scotty Bobby" Sport Mod Shootout named after stock car racer Scotty Lawson who lost his life in a mortorcycle accident just a short while back. That's the colors he had raced with on the flier.
The weekend forecast looks great right now according to weather.com and the other weather sites & services too. Between now and practice, we are expecting some rain and possible storms at the track so... the track is being packed in hard in preparation for that. Our goal is not to have a heavy track this weekend -- we want a slick track with multiple grooves and that's what we're aiming for. Makes for great racing and it's easier on both car and driver that way.
If the weather predictions are correct, we will get this show in as scheduled on Friday and Saturday night with practice THIS Thursday. Practice will probably depend on how much rain falls on Wednesday but right now, we plan to have practice too. Thursday by the way... is the LAST day to PRE-enter this event and save that $50. So why don't you give them a call at 405-627-1766 and enter TODAY. Do it when you get a break and get to your phone. We're getting this one in!!! If we have to, yes, we will race Sunday if need be. I talked to promoter John Webb and he said he is not going to let racers travel to his track and not get to race for the advertised purse before they leave.
***John also said that he was asked, what if only 20 cars show up? "Well then, 20 racers are going leave with a really nice payout."*** Real deal here folks...
I think we can do a whole lot better than 20 though!  Let's show Mr. Webb that he's got a good idea having this event even if it is November!

Practice is still a GO tonight! Also, today is also the last day to PRE-enter and save $50. Don't wait till tomorrow...come practice or call in your entry fee!
If you're racing in this one, plan on one more trick-or-treat session Saturday in the pits before the races! They are going to let the kids in costume in the races free and let them trick-or-treat in the pits so bring one more batch of candy!
