Does he only run in Austraila and New Zealand these days? And if so, why?

From what I understand, he is working for Lucas Oil year round in the Australia / New Zealand area of the world.

Ricky in addition to being a sprint car driver is an aircraft pilot. Our host in Knoxville flies some and was formerly on the airport commission in Knoxville. A couple of years ago he said that Ricky was racing less because he was working nearly full-time as a pilot. That may be what he is doing for Lucas Oil in Australia/New Zealand.

What I do know about Ricky in NZ and I have met and purchased Lucas products from him he is a really nice guy he is working his butt off to get LUCAS OIL to #1 here down under.He did win the A Main Winged Thunder 5 at the Harrisville Speedway Ohakea NZ earlier this year.
He is a Top man selling Top products.
Ricky if you read this you have to get to Harrisville next year to defend you title.

Ricky has been based at Western Springs Speedway in Auckland NZ the last few years and as above is the NZ distributor for Lucas Oils NZ. He was driving a midget and a sprintcar for different car owners last season (US Winter). His sprintcar owner parked his team at the end of the year and have not heard of anything confirmed for our upcoming season. From what I understand he is winding down the driving and building up business interests for life after speedway.....
