Add to the above list: 7 Sean Becker
22 Mason Moore
The six locked in drivers are Bud Kaeding, Kyle Hirst, DJ Netto, and Justin Sanders along with Brad Furr and Kurt Nelson. They will run a six car dash to determine their starting positions for the feature. Everyone else will run time trials and be split in three b-mains, 12 laps each, taking the top six finishers. Everyone from the bmains gets their qualifying times back to determine the lineup from 7th through 24th for the 50 lap feature.

Car counts w/caliber of drivers like this will make this one of the better anticipated races of the year. Too bad Pville continues to schedule a race on the same night, or guys like Forsberg (possibly Gregg) would definitely be there for a chance at $10K.

I agree. I'll be making the long trip to Watsonville instead of the 45 minutes to P-ville. Would of loved to see Gregg and Forsberg go for the big bucks. Heard Becker was showing up!

Pville will always schedule against other tracks and the same promoter will always schedule his beloved "civil war" ( cancer) races against tracks and other larger shows. Nothing new there.

When did Watsonville start racing Saturdays? Other Saturday night tracks need to stop for the Key when they race Fridays every other week? Placerville? Petaluma? Marysville? At what point does Ocean take blame for the schedule conflict?

Watsonville only runs Winged Sptint cars on Saturday nights when they host the King of the West series, or run the Johnny Key Classic.

It's a $10K to win race, Ocean has nothing to take blame for. It would be nice if the promoters worked together for big races like this. Same for when Pville runs the Formi.

tracks can do whatever they want but ocean only runs one 360 show a year on sat. they do it because they can get an hr earlier start to accomodate the longer show and also to give people who want to attend the key race a better chance to do so without having to try to make it on a fri. none of the other 360 tracks schedule against civil war shows, so you think they might give the key race the same consideration. there are some very talented drivers running other tracks that would add to the competition at ocean, especially on a big race night. they have a legitimate excuse that it is tough for them to travel to wastsonville on a fri to race. so ocean moved their biggest race of the year to a sat and changed the format to try to accomodate them and their home tracks still produce conflicting schedules. i guess there is just no helping some people.
to the people who take the time to come from out of town to support ocean and participate in the taco bravo series, thank you. we are glad to have you. to those who would like to come but just are tied up by you local tracks schedule, i hope you find a way to make it sometime. to those who just keep making excuses why you can't make it, we are having a blast without you.
to indy and beyond!!

Not trying to start anything, just seeing it from a non-Ocean point of view. Not even trying to blame Ocean, and if i did, i apologize. Im defending Placerville. Placerville is racing like they normally do on Saturday nights because Ocean chooses to step out of their Friday night slot and schedule a huge race on top of them and every other Saturday night track for that matter. You can't blame Placervile for the lack of Forsberg at Ocean. If Ocean schedules the same night they race on normally, everyone could attend. This in no way is Placerville's fault. Plus, Ocean has no Civil War dates so no north valley based tracks are obligated to go dark for Ocean, and in turn, Ocean isnt obligated to stay on Fridays. You can't blame Saturday night tracks for racing Saturday nights.

its not going to be too long before stockton 99 dirt track takes over on saturday nights by adding bigger paydays.. when the promoter figures out he is centrally located and deals with the baggage in his life..there is a tone of money there..anyways the promoters need to sit down this off season and work alot of things out for the love of sprint car racing and us fans.. we dont need to seperate we need to all work together in my opionion.. fans will go where the racing is the best

Golobic was running 2nd, battling Forsberg for the lead, after passing Rico and Becker, when taken out by a lapper with 7 to go. Andy wasn't challenged again for the Win. Looking forward to tonight as well, tons of hitters will be there.
