Lance has uncharacteristicly struggled this season and this win at Fulton County N.Y. should up the confidence level of the team moving forward. Since his first win at Roaring Knob back in early May, he has shown some improvement with a number of top 5 finishes, but just hasn't been able to battle for wins as most expect him to do. Some have said he's still struggling with the Hooser's, but we're far enough into the season for that to be THE problem IMO. Even with his mediocre season so far, he still holds a slim lead over Dale Blaney for All Star eastern point championship. It would be great to see Lance get hot for the last half of the season and compete for wins in the upcoming big races.

Interestingly, both Lance's wins to date have come 'off the porch' as neither Roaring Knob or Fulton County are in Posse Territory. For that matter, neither track is known as 410 sprint car track. Go figure

That can't be, posse never wins away from Williams grove or Lincoln.

More than Lance is struggling with the tires.  Montieth is not having anywhere near the season he should. I would like to see the tracks do more testing for treated tires.

Cory Haas as well is struggling considerably. Don't know if it's the tires or not though. On the other end, Jim Siegel is fast again on Hoosiers.

Let me help you out a bit, they can't beat the Outlaws away from those places for the most part, heck they often don't even show up anymore, sadly.  Lance is an exception to the rule, a true RACER and a winner not afraid of anyone, anywhere...

Could you list the multitude of 'local' racers who travel outside their porch on a regular basis and beat the outlaws?

There have been many over the years however none of them have been supported by a group of cheerleaders who actually believe that their guys are better than the Outlaws, this has been my complaint for over 20 years including the last 17 in this forum....

3 hours up the road in Lernerville is hardly off the porch, that's about the average time for a regular at Knoxville to travel...

First off you didn't give me a list of names, let's say over the past 5 years.  Second, it's not fair to characterize hundreds of fans as 'cheerleaders' just because of a few over the top posters!!

As Bobby once did, he has his grandson Logan and son Jacob not backing down from any race. These boys are young and not there yet, but I give them a lot of credit for what they are doing. They have talent and will get there hopefully knocking off some big races like Scruffy use to.

Bobby is one of my favorite all time racers, he raced where he wanted and when he wanted, he answered to NOBODY.  I used to get a kick out of him stopping by my photo booth, he loved to look at the photos and he would comment on what some of the cars were doing etc.   You could learn more from him in 5 minutes that an hour with most other drivers, I hope these two are a chip off the old block.....

I've done this before and will do it again.  Current Posse drivers who have beaten the Outlaws away from the Grove and Lincoln in Posse cars.  This is just on memory so I'm sure I'm missing a couple.  These are only the Outlaw sanctioned races, TV races, King's Royal, or part of the Knoxville Nationals

Rahmer - Canyon Run, Lernerville, Knoville Prelims (2)

Kauffman - Knoxville, East Bay (2), Hagerstown, Orange County (has two CA wins but they were in Outlaw cars)

Dewease - Lernerville, Lowe's

Hodnett - Lowe's (2 or more), Eldora

Kreitz - Eldora

Stevie Smith - a track in Florida in the Zemco car about three years ago, just don't remember which track

Glad to hear Lance is doing well.  He has always been a nice guy.  Really do appreciate him and his teams making the trip to Knoxville for the Nationals .  It's fun to watch guys from all around the country race together.   Great racer.
