HOOSIER DT-3 SET FOR IMPLEMENTATION AS CRA SPRINT CAR RIGHT-REAR SEPTEMBER 8
Monday, 02 July 2007 --- Hoosier Tire’s DT-3 tire will become the mandatory right-rear tire for usage in Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Sprint Car racing beginning September 8 at Ventura (Calif.) Raceway.
The more durable, less expensive tire has proven effective since its implementation at the start of the 2007 Lucas Oil National Sprint Car campaign. This move has met with approval and is considered a very positive step by Lucas Oil USAC National competitors. The switch to the DT-3 is the latest move toward corralling costs in USAC Sprint Car racing. Since the USAC/CRA series takes a hiatus to allow its participants to compete in the traditional Lucas Oil “Indiana Sprint Week” events, only five series races remain before the implementation of the DT-3. Those events are scheduled July 28 at Hanford, Aug. 4 at Perris, Aug. 11 at Santa Maria and Aug. 18 and Sept. 1 at Perris. The DT-3 therefore will become the mandatory right rear tire for both the “Perris Oval Nationals” at Perris, Calif. and the “Western World Championships” at Phoenix, Ariz. in November, featuring both the USAC/CRA and USAC National participants.

our tire people can't even get one how are we to get one
Is it blue or red or purple is it rain tread pavement tread or dirt tread
due we need to change our wheels or is it just a magic tire that fixes everything

It's the same size as what we run now. It falls between the RC1 & RC2 in compound and has the extra groove around the outside block just like the open tires. It's been several years since I've played with one but I found it to be a better tire than the RC.

They are narrower tires then the RC1 or RC2, and I believe they are harder then an RC2. ALOT of people have switched to running 17, some 16 inch wheels for this tire. I have run 18 inch wheels with them and have been fine, but, if I had a choice I would probly run 17's..... Pretty sweet how they do this half way through the year! lol....gotta love em...

Whoops, I guess they changed it sometime in the last few years. My feeble mind is slipping. Thanks Casey.
