Our prayers are going out to Larry (the Roseville Rocket). John visited Larry a couple of weeks ago and he was upbeat but very ill. This morning we found out he is gravely ill, so could you send your prayers to him and his family.

With a great deal of sadness, I received a call this a.m. and Larry passed away last evening. Leslie his daughter said the Funeral will be private, but within a couple of weeks they will be having a memorial for him.

RIP larry, and my deepest sympathy for the "rocket" family. I just lost my grandpa last weekend, so i feel your pain.... any sprint car fan is a friend of mine, and i know he will be missed.

May I say from someone Who had the privilege of watching Larry race at The Sydney Showground and Parramatta City Raceway May I send my Sympanthy to his family
I didnt realise when it was first posted it was Larry Burton
Larry toured Australia with a team that had Doug Wolfgang Steve Kinser Jimmy Sills and Larry

Just letting people know that Peter Whites Speedway World done a marvellous OBIT on Larry and would be more than happy to forward it on to someone by mail to forward on to the family
Also Speedway Racing News did a interview with Garry Rush where credits Larry Burton as being a influence to change him from road racing to speedway
