Does anybody know what kind of car count to expect at Dodge City next weekend? Will Dodge City pull many of the Oklahoma, Texas and mid west teams there? Too bad the NCRA and ASCS couldn't work out a co-sanction as there will be two 360 events going on each night next weekend in the same state.

I look for less than 20 cars at both events

Port City Raceway will be by far the place to be.

The Sixth Annual Race 4 Life/ Inaugural Donnie Ray Crawford Memorial.

Will easily be the biggest outdoor dirt track event in the last decade in this state. Can't make it to the qualifying nights thursday and friday? Saturday will run consolation features starting in the early afternoon, then having an auction in benefit of the Donnie Ray Crawford scholarship foundation - will redo the track during this time - and start the featured program in the evening. It will truly be an amazing weekend of racing.

Speed, I agree on the co-sanctioned thing. Dodge is a great facility.

That would be kind of like the Hat fields and the Mcoys going to church together, wouldn't it.

The Steve King race at Jetmore was a dual sanctioned event, and was successful in pulling a good car count. I don't know what rules were ran this year. Hopefully some of the Ks. boys will pull in for the show.

I agree with under 20. I figured Salina was gonna be a great show, and it was for the 19 cars that were there but I was disappointed to not see Tulsa or OKC guys. Maybe it was because the track is big and fast and tough on engines, I don't know. It kinda bummed me out though. Great facility and bad ass slide jobs!

jeff take your butt to Port. I promise you - you won't be disappointed.

It will be the best atmosphere and racing you have seen for a long, long time.

and for an extremely affordable cost too.

Wasn't the Salina race in the middle of the week? Also, there are no other surrounding regions in the ASCS having races this weekend. Dodge City is a great facility. I would hope to see at least 25. Maybe wishful thinking.

Salina was last Friday night. Cody, Port is sounding pretty tempting for Saturday.

Salina, Ok was last Friday night, Salina KS was on a Thursday night, but either track, they had dismal car counts.

great to hear Jeff. Would really look forward to seeing you and the family at PCR. You guys will love the atmosphere - it's unlike any other track in the area. It's more like the SFS vibe than any track around. The vibe and anticipation is that strong. And kids.......you actually see a couple hundred of em and it's awesome. It points out how few you see at so many venues nowadays.

Do stay tuned for updates as the NWWS has continued their trend of underestimating the westward track of Hurricane Isaac. Rain chances have increased quite a bit for Friday but with the monumental struggles they have had in forecasting this one - it could change at any minute.

A huge positive is that this race was scheduled on the front end of a 4 holiday weekend. If weather messes with the schedule at all - things could be run on Sunday with little problem as Monday is a holiday. And maybe none of that will even be necessary. If you guys come for the finale let me know as seating there is limited and I'd do my best to make sure you guys have good ones.
