With the sprint season winding down I thought I would let you know of a site that might bring you a few good laughs but it's NOT sprint related, sorry. I also have nothing to do with this site but frequent it for it's irrevance and this just might be the best of that lot. Go to http://deadspin.com/ and read the stories titled "Why Your Team Sucks". They are doing each NFL team and have done most already, it's pretty funny stuff and if you don't laugh out loud a few times then you need to lighten up a whole bunch, life ain't all that bad.....

As a fellow Bears fan Mike, I like this one... hope the offense isn't a train wreck with Tice behind the wheel... certainly won't be shocked if it is! I thought Tice was a buffoon when he was with the Vikes, and laughed at the expense of all my friends that are Vikings fans. The joke's on me now!
Despite having an OL that has given up the most sacks in the NFL over the last two seasons (105) we selected zero OL in the draft. ZERO! And don't think that's because we picked up a stud OL via free agency because that didn't happen either. And get this: Mike Tice, the OL coach responsible for the worst OL in football the past two years, just got PROMOTED to Offensive Coordinator. You can't make this shit up.

Die hard Bears fan myself. I think (hope) we are all going to be praising Tice by the time the season is over, barring any catastrophic injuries. I think Tice wanted to hold Martz's head under water the last two seasons for making his linemen hold the defenders for an eternity while Cutler did a 12 step drop every other play! I think Tice will be fine as a coodinator. He is already getting high marks from me for letting Jay use his brain and change the play! I hope I am right on this: Sit back and enjoy the ride this year. Could be the best Bears offense we have ever seen!! (of course that is like saying you are the thinnest kid at fat camp)

You had better hope it is the most prolific Bear offense ever. Their Defense is on the way down, as is all Defense's in the league. Just fact. I think the Bears will be helped greatly by the new rules that have opened up Offense's, but their vaulted Defense will take a hit. The times, they are a changing.....

Vikings punter Chris Kluwe has a pretty funny rebuttal, "Why Your Website Sucks"
As far as the Bears go.....I am hoping BMarsh and Cutler slip in the shower together and break something. Both complete Dbags who do not deserve to be on Da Bears.

Been cheering so long for the Bears I used to have a St. Bernard called Butkus back when Richard Marvin was still playing. The OL deal was shocking but the Defense certainly scares me the most. When Denver drop 30+ on you even in an Exhibition game you got to be worried, I am. Might be shoot-out time this year but I think it may be that way with many teams, gonna bet the Over early and often this year......
Even since I moved from Western Canada 30+ years ago I have forgot all about the CFL but they do play some pretty 'offensive' games, pass, pass, pass....

One souvineer that I wish that had stolen when I was at Sante Fe Speedway in Chicago was an old photograph of Ditka, Butkus and two other players posing with the winner in victory lane in the late 60's.
I just hope that photo found a good home when they tore the place down in 1994/

BTW, to tie this all in to racing....
Bill Simpson's newest autobio "Throught the Fire" (a sequel to his 2001 book) says that he has sold Impact and is currently teaming up with Chip Gannassi to produce a safer helmet for the NFL.

I see the face of the NFL changing dramatically the next 5-10 years. I think teams will need to win a shootout in most cases to win a championship. There will be a team here and there dominate with their defense. It used to be offense wins games, defense wins championships. I think it is going to shift to offense winning both. Like you say, rules are changing. The Bears will likely be in the bottom of most defensive categories again, but good ol' Lovie has a way of keeping them in the top half of the points allowed category. That is the one the matters.

Lovie is EASILY the biggest problem the Bears have, worse than defense, offense, Cutler or anything else one can think of. He stands on the sideline and I swear he looks lost or in a daze or both, absolutely out of it.....

Lovie does drive me nuts too sometimes, but at the end of the day, it's about wins and losses. His record as a head coach is very comparable to other well respected coaches. For example, many wanted him fired and replaced by Jon Gruden or Jeff Fisher for instance. Both coaches have a career .538 winning percentage and Lovie has a .554. Lovie has had inferior talent on his team for years. He is finally going to be given the offense that has been needed in this town for decades. Lets just hope the defense hasn't aged too much to back it up. He has taken two teams that had little talent to the NFC championship game and one of them to the Super Bowl. Hell, the Super Bowl was still up for grabs until mid-4th quarter and they lost to the Packers on the 28 yard line in the NFC championship with less than a minute to go. I think the guy should have a f----n statue erected for him with all of the crap players he has had to endure from Jerry Angelo. Few coaches could get a bunch of nobody's to play as hard as he has for the last few years. No receivers, no line, no safeties after Brown left. He has done fine. Can't argue with Bill Parcells. "you are as good as your record says you are"

Dude, Lovie is despised in Chicago, did you not read the link I posted to get an idea how many of their fans feel about him? REAL Bear fans or fanatics like myself can't wait for him to disappear, I don't have enough space here to tell you the reasons this guy is terrible and I don't care what his record is, he has had very little to do with it. I better sign off now before I get into trouble, lol.....Wertz where are you.....

Mike, the Deadspin parody also says that Mike Ditka is an idiot.
Trust me, Chicago still loves Iron Mike!
I don't mind Lovie at all but I do wish that they would give the ax to Cutler and Bmarsh. Have you ever seen the timeline of BMarsh's D'baggery? It ends in 2009 so you can add 4 or 5 more things to the list:
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/otl/news/story?id=4216417
Cutler is just a loser. A stat-minded pretty boy who couldn't post a winning season in college or prior to joinging Da Bears.

There is only one city in America happy with their coach and that is New York (giants of course). I know tons of Packer fans and most of them hate McCarthy. I know a ton of Vikings fans and they hate Frazier. All my Pittsburgh fan friends think the Steelers will never win again until they get rid of Tomlin. Most Jets fans can't stand Rex Ryan--sick of his antics.
Long story short--doesn't matter what fans like or despise your coach. It is ALL about the record. If the Bears win 12 games this year and lose the NFC championship game, he will still be disliked. If he wins the NFC championship game and loses the Super Bowl, he will still be disliked. Only one team at the end of the year will like their coach. IT IS ALL ABOUT THE RECORD. Give this man a break. No one would have fared as well or better with this group of boobs in the front office picking complete idiots in the draft (Benson? insert offensive or defensive lineman's name here), trading off workhorse players (Thomas Jones anyone?).
If he has another bad year this year with the offensive talent at his disposal, it may be time to go. But if he has a good year, name another available coach out there you would replace him with. And please don't say Ditka. I am still pissed off at him for only winning one super bowl. Any man that can draw a play up in the ground with a stick should have won 3 minimum super bowls with that team!

Cutler has to be the ugliest futhermucker to ever play NFL QB- wouldn't call him a pretty boy!
I guess when you look at what Lovie has done with the players he has his record isn't horrible, but I also think he should get fired...... I cannot see the Bears beating the Pack and the Lions in that division this year..... the Vikings are really power flucked with 6 built in division losses.
I loved Ditka also but it was pathetic to get ONE Super Bowl win out of the talent he had, and he was a flop in New Orleans.
