USAC might wanna take a good look at the USAC /CRA series and realize how much better the car counts and racing has been vs some of there other series including the national series . Maybe a little more help for the series or the promoters to keep this series growing even stronger.
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

I dont understand with all their resources, why USAC lets their PR department slide off into the abyss like they do. Have you seen some of the recaps of races the last couple of seasons? Some have even slacked off to 3/4 lines of a single paragraph!

The teams that support them by spending endless $$$ and hours upon hours of sweat equity deserve far better.

Seems sometimes USAC can't get out of their own way. For the last 5 years they have not scheduled a National points race against Calistoga's Louie Vermeil Classic on Labor Day weekend. This afforded Damien Gardner and Robert Ballou to come back to California to race. Both were great additions to the program and each have had wins. This year they race in Indiana Saturday night. Nice job National.

LOP - I would argue that the job Lance Jennings does more than suffices in getting the word out nationally on USAC/CRA happenings. You guys are truly blessed to have him promoting your series day-in and day-out

So you're saying that all the "national exposure" that USAC was so proudly hawking as a selling point when they came to stay in S California was Lance?

Ya know I love ya Lance, but really?

Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

MY point was it is too bad the scheduling did not allow for available national folks to run the LVC this year as they have in the past.

USUC. USUC now charges to watch USAC videos on their site. It will be a cold day in hell before I pay. I refuse to pay the NY times for their stuff, and that I would like to read.

BTW Naylor dumped USAC because a lot of money went back to Indiana, and he had to pay for too many officials.

You can thank Ventura Raceway for the increase of car's in both the USAC WC 360's and USAC/CRA. Thank's to the Agajanian Family for bringing USAC Nat./West. states midget TNGP back to dirt and The PAS ! !

Car counts looked good this past weekend, but how many will travel up the state?

I see a few big guys aren't planning on making the toe.

Car count at Calistoga will be:

20 sprints

14 midgets

...then what?

The home track of USAC/CRA at Perris has only had 1-2 night's of CRA car's at under 30. The WC 360's are ave. more car's than last year too. If Chris Kearns is "leaving" SMS I vote USAC just runs at The PAS and Rt.66 Motorplex next season only and we the fan's and the team's can reap the rewards of staying "closer to home" for the majority of the USAC/CRA team's and race every other weekend !

You forgot that point leader Mike Spencer's car is prepared up that way and so Santa Maria is a home track. The Kittle car hails from Santa Maria. The guy that won on Sunday night comes from up that way also.

How is Perris / Victorville closer to home for most of the WC 360's? Take a look at the driver roster and their home cities. SMS, Tulare, Hanford and Bako are much closer to home for the majority of those teams. Why exclude great racing facilities who have supported that series for decades. (Even though its a new sanction and stuff we know where the cars running in it mostly came from.) The series is averaging good car counts at the facilities I mentioned, not at the two you mentioned...

Allow me to clarify..........

I was referring to USAC's national site. Lance does an EXCELLENT job! He is as loyal and as dedicated as it gets. Have you seen the paltry shoddy recaps on the national web site? It is down right skimpy. That's what I was alluding to. There are many race fans in the nation that just go to the national site to see recaps and results and what little coverage is there is all they see.

Assuming Lance is the source of USAC obtaining west coast recaps for the national site (and I think they do use his submissions. If not....They Should), you should compare what Lance posts here vs. what little goes on the national board. That is what I meant by the teams (both national and regional) deserve better coverage than what they are getting on the "national" site.

The Kittle car is housed in Torrance. Like I said "most" not all the teams.

I was thinking USAC/CRA not the WC 360's sorry to not clarify that

The whole point of my original post was that there are more fan's that travel to central Cali track's than So. Cal team's. How many track's this year have had more than 25 410 non wing sprint car's in the pit's ?

Ocean speedway is a great track with huge fan support, but still only 20 to 24 cars total make it.

There's probably only around 10 to 15 reg usac guys, and the rest are locals trying to run without the top on.
