Did anyone pass more cars in the A? What kind of budget does the #56 have to compete with those big dogs they beat? Great run!

Not sure about the budget for the team, but they just added another $16,000 to their coffers. That's what 10th pays in the Nationals. That's winning a little more than 5x during the regular season at Knoxville in just one race (pays $3,000 to win).

Heard on last night's radio broadcast that they had Charlie Garrett working with their team for the Nationals, so I am assuming they are now running his engines as well.

Davey has raced a Garrett ever since he moved up to the 410 division.... The Budget is just out of his grandpas pocket and just a couple friends support..... Davey is a great driver for the fans... He wont leave till every kid/adult is pleased....
Great Job Davey Heskin.....

The kid is the real deal. I'd think he will win the Nationals in the next 7 years.

I met Davey and the Heskin team a few years ago when I started taking photos at Knoxville and over the past couple years Davey has became a great friend. The whole Heskin team are a class act and like sprint announcer said they won't leave til they talk to everyone in their pits at the end of the night.

I have really taken notice of Heskin the last few years at the Nationals. He seems to be a very talented driver. You dont see a car with no sponsorship on it and run that strong very often. He has quickly become my favorite at Knoxville. How old is he?

Awesome run all week. And most of all win or lose great job taking care of your fans after the races. The drivers that didn't have lost alot of respect and fans. It's part of the job. Again congrats

Yes, Davey does work with Garrett, but for most of this year, he's ran a Chapetta motor. Go Davey Go!!!

Do you mean Cappetta Race Engines from York, Pa? He currently builds engines for Greg Hodnett's team among others.

I believe it must be the same builder. Definitely a Capetta that I saw sitting in his shop a month or so ago. I suspect that may be the first new motor Davey has ever run. Pretty much financed by Butch Maxwell with some help from friends (not sure how much) along with winnings. Everyone from the family that I have met has been great, as have the long time fans that I have met. Davey's a bright kid and I think he learn's something every time he gets in the car. I've been a supporter since the first time I saw him run at Cedar Lake with the WOO three or four years ago.
