Can anyone tell me how the live streaming from Knoxville has been this year or what their experience was with it during last years Nationals? Is it smooth, no constant buffereing or slowness? Does it have multiple camera angles and replays? I would like to purchase the 3 day pass for the Nationals but want to make sure it would be worth it first.

A friend of mine in Virginia would like to get this. Do you get it through the track's website? Is it broadcast on KRLS radio website? It isn't live on PPV this year is it? When will it be broadcast on Speed? I never worried about these things because I live here. Thanks in advance for the info.
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

It's a really good feed I've used it a few times. Camera angles are good and track announcer is loud and clear. The Knoxville weekly recap clips on YouTube show what the feed is like.

my understanding is that the 410 nationals are NOT streamed, just replayed on speed channel. but, knia/krls does an excellent job w the live radio broadcast.

You can buy the first 3 days of it, just not Saturday. Speed Channel has the rights to Saturday Night, so they can replay it 2 weeks after the fact in the middle of a Saturday afternoon when no one will care. They broadcast the World Finals live, but in IMO, Saturday Night of Knoxville is one of the most exciting nights of the year!!!

Turn 2 Media streams Wednesday thru Friday.
SPEED / World of Outlaws have rights to Saturday Night. The TV deal is the World of Outlaws deal, blame the non-live aspect on them if you wish, but when it comes down to it, they'll get better ratings via tape delay than they would live.
Charlotte is shown live in May because Cup is there and shown live in November because that's what Charlotte wants and demands. No Live TV means no World Finals is what I've heard (but again, Speed is located in Charlotte, so costs are less).
What I don't get is how the World Finals has become such a HUGE Event in such a short time. They pay a standard WoO Purse, start in the afternoon, only have time trials on Thursday Night (and charge $10 to watch it), and then treat team's equipment like trash if they crash (it's more important to clear the track then it is to not break more parts on their car).
If 15,000 people will go to Charlotte to watch a standard WoO show, the National Open @ WG, the Gold Cup @ Chico, the Silver Cup @ Lernerville should all have a minimum of 25,000 and the Nationals should have 35-40,000 in attendance (but, I guess when you have Bruton Smith's $$, you can run TV commercials non-stop and convince the fans that your event is bigger than everything else.

Too bad the rumors of HBO Pay per view picking up Saturday night of the Nationals never came true. I would have been all over that in a heartbeat!!!! They have experience showing Pay per view dirt races with the Prelude, so the Nationals wouldn't be out of the realm of their expertise.

Saturday was always my least favorite night of the Nationals. You get 5 features and it will take hours to run. Wed and Thurs are the two best nights of the year in mine and many other people's opinion. Qualifying is IMPORTANT, the Heat Races are even more IMPORTANT and the 3 Features are all very IMPORTANT. On Saturday the A and B will be exciting and for a very limited few the other features will mean something but it will be tough to top the first 2 nights which you can purchase from Turn2. I watched the show on Saturday and the Video and Audio was Superb and expect the same in a few days for the 360 Nationals as well as the Sunday night Cappy show. Enjoy.....

Say what you want about the Nationals. I agree they are great. That being said, there is more bang for the buck in the 360 nationals by far. More side by side, more passing, same amount of egos, but not the Sammie kind. I don't have the numbers in front of me, but what is the cost diff between 3 days of 360 + the Sunday show and 4 day ticket for the 410 Nationals?

$64 for all 3 days of the 360's (figure $84 if you want to add in teh Cappi Classic to make it 4 days)
$166 (middle tier) for all 4 days of the 410 Nationals
I like the 360 Nationals and the racing is generally superb, but I have yet to find an EVENT that matches the intensity of Wednesday and Thursday of the Nationals (and that includes the Daytona 500), for both competitors and the fans.
IMO, the greatest racing of the year/most intense nights of sprint car racing are as follows:
Tie for 1st: Wednesday/Thursday of 410 Nationals
Tie for 2nd: Thursday/Friday of 360 Nationals
Tie for 3rd: Saturday Night of Nationals/King's Royal
4th: Any Outlaw Show @ Williams Grove
5th: Saturday before Southern Iowa Speedweek
6th: Gold Cup
7th: Friday Night of Nationals (this could change after this year, but that's where it stands currently)
8th: World Finals
