Maybe Blaney. Who knows what could happen with the way things have been going on during speedweeks.

Yes. And isn't it great that drivers from around the country still come out to run speedweek?

it proves competition in Ohio isn't anything near like Cali, Pa, and Knoxville!

...how does that prove anything? Since Hodnett is from Tennessee and Sammy is from Tennessee you could argue that the best drivers are from Tennessee using that logic...

The quality of competition from one state to another is just a matter of opinion. There are plenty drivers across the country that could run up front night in and night out with the Outlaws if they had the funds. I think people like Brian Sebetto from Ohio, Mark Dobmier from the Dakotas (I think) Fred Rahmer from PA, could all be top 5 drivers with the Outlaws given the opportunity JMO, not neccessarly a fact. I think speedweeks in any state is just a good time for fans to see good competition across the respected state and who cares where the winners come from.

Indiana has had the best drivers since the invention of the wheel

Not true at all. The likes of Reed, Gressman, Mintz, Haudenschild, Andrews, etc aren't running all or even most of the shows. And arguabley Ohio's best talent (other than Dale) Bryan Sebetto is seeing all these tracks for the first time other than Attica and Fremont. It's effectively running off the porch for him and he's doing a pretty fine job through 7 nights. Ohio's best drivers don't have massive budget operations like the top guys from other regions. Loved Fremont. Wish I was going back Saturday but headin back to the porch at Lincoln. Hoping for a hell of a show at Limaland tomorrow.

Lima will be a hell of a show....here is my picks for top ten in no order. Blaney, Larson, Gravel, Shaffer, Sauder(if he drops in 410), Hannagan(if he drops in 410), Stewart, Smith, Sebetto, Reed. (hopefully some can prove me wrong, but re-read this statement compared to the results after Lima tonight) i bet i'm damn close! Now that I've mentioned my top ten, notice that there aren't hardly any "local" Ohio 410 guys that I picked? And by terms of local i mean top 20 in points at Attica or Fremont. Why did I do this? Because I'm not a believer in my own States drivers to compete against any of these guys on a neutral surface. i think it's pathetic. At least he Pa boys will go down to Charlotte and the Nationals and run competitively. These boys stay on their small little porches too much!!!! And don't get me started on some of you who might say they don't have the budget, cuz a big percentage of them have multiple cars and motors to only race 30 minutes from home!!! I'm done sharing my opinion now. Good luck to all the Posse, K-ville and Cali drivers when it's your turn to race against the best!

A bunch of if's in that statement. Then 2 of the remaining 8 are locals( to 20 ) and Blaney is 21st in ARP Points.. . 3 of 8.. .375% local drivers. You can't compare Ohio region with PA at all. There are 4-5 local car owners in Ohio that run ARP and Fremont regularly; out of 30 cars. The rest all have regular 40 hour work week jobs so they can compete at Attica and Fremont. What's pa have 10-12 car owners? You hear it all the time. They play musical chairs with rides over there. If Ohio doesn't leave the porch, where was all the PA guys this week during Speedweek. Stevie isn't even close to a PA car. Dewease was around for a bit then went home. Holtgraver was very good at ARP. You can't compare these 4 different places around the country together. ( cali, Knox, Ohio, PA )

* Also funny you mentioned Charlotte. There were 2 Ohio guys that cracked the top 15 with the best in the world. Must not have been sufficient enough for you how-ever.

* Why wouldn't you have two cars to run 30 mins from home. If they junk a car on Friday night, what are the suppose to do for Saturday?

* $5,000 Just to run Ohio Speedweek in Fuel/pitpasses/tires ( just a RR ) and Methanol. This doesn't include motor wear and anything that happens otherwise. Hotel bills.. With no point fun or tow money, why would anyone want to follow the whole speedweek? There is no incentive to run it.
