You mean the "Iron Duke"....That 2.5 Liter Inline 4 banger bastard?

I had a POS '86 Pontiac Grand Am once and it had that engine and I beat the shit out of that car, surprisingly never a problem under the hood, other than that factory rattling/knocking sound. Friends hated to ride as the pass. door was stuck shut and they had to "Duke Boy Style" to get in-out on that side. Sold it to scrap yard after a rear wheel snapped off the hub at like 60. That was damn near the loudest and scariest "wreck", I thought I was gone for sure. Sorry-back to your question....

GM put that engine in all kinds of cars (and some trucks) from 1984-1992. Including the 1985-1991 model year of the Pontiac 6000 and the Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais.

Not mechanical expert as far as engine swaps, but guessing it would be a one-for-one as those just might be the same engine...?

Proud GM owner and the hell with Fords, Foreigns, and Fuel Efficient.
