Following a pair of solid top 10 finishes last weekend in Illinois and Wisconsin, Springfield, Illinois sprint car driver Jordan Goldesberry looks for a solid weekend of cometition this weekend in both Midwest Openwheel Association and Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association competition. Friday will see the familiar Rock Solid Lawn Care, GPC Race Products, NGK Spark Plugs, PPG, Super Shox, Team Simpson #65 in competition in mid-Illinois as the cars and stars of MOWA invade the Lincoln Speedway at the Logan County Fairgrounds. Then on Saturday, it's a return trip up north to Wisconsin, as Jordan will compete with the IRA at Beaver Dam Raceway.

Last Friday saw the 21 year old driver at the controls of Randy Plath's Rockstar Graphics 14p in 360 competion with the Brockway Mechanical and Roofing Sprint Invaders at Jacksonville Speedway. Goldesberry, who garnered Rookie of the Year honors with the Iowa-based SIA five seasons ago, brought the 14p home second in the Advanced Plumbing and Mechancial 1st heat race before taking the checkers in the Budweiser Super Shake up Dash. However, after drawing the 5th starting spot for the Brockway Mechancial main event, Jordan found himself fighting a sticking throttle linkage in the race, limiting his ability to mount a full charge, eventually bringing home an 8th place finish.

On Saturday, after timing in 7th quick out of 33 competitors, Jordan found himself having to make the feature at Wilmot thru the B-Main after failing to transfer thru his heat. Goldesberry eventually brought the car home in 10th place (out of 20 finishers) after starting 19th.

Racecar spelled backwards is racecar. Racecar upside
down is expensive.
