I'll trade you Cody and Lucas for Fast Freddie and a driver to be named later...

Heck, how far behind are they already? Most of the Posse top dogs raced in Florida against the big boys already and ate a lot of dust, of course that was neutral ground so it doesn't ever count, lol.
I truly wish I was at Lincoln tonite tho', should be a great one. Lincoln has lots of different weekly winners so a lot of the locals have a legitamite chance of running up front tonite and The Edge should be the fav goin' in, enjoy.....

Isn't this "horse"already dead!
It's been shot, hung, murdered, water boarded, committed suicide. fell off a cliff, pushed off a cliff, dragged through the mud, run over by a car, crashed sucker punched and given a t*t twister!
Nothing more needs to be said. I don't care if they are Posse or WOO, I want to watch a good race.

Yo' budbrain, if you don't have a 'horse' in the race who gives a crap. I could care less what YOU have to say, lol. This debate has been around since the Outlaws first showed up in Central PA 40+ years ago and will likely still be around long after you're in the dirt. Who doesn't want to watch a good race, dang.....

Mike, allow me to brag about more important things. I cashed a $5 win-place ticket on I'll Have Another for $116 on Saturday. It was the first time I cashed in the Derby in at least six or seven years.

singlefile, I blew it, absolutely blew it. I went out of town on Saturday for my Anniversary and never did much research on the race. Had I know there was a Canuck horse in the race it would have been at least a $10 across bet for the helluvit. As it was I keyed on the 14 (Hansen) and he faded badly in the stretch, I did have Bodemeister in all my exacta bets which is even more frustrating knowing I was at least half right. The only good thing that happened was the bet I made on the race previous to the Derby, The Turf Classic. I pounded a horse called Little Mike (hello, lol) who won and paid 26.40, 13.40, 8.20. Glad to see you're still interested in the ponies....
As to last night, were you headed there? What a shame there was a rainout, Lincoln is my favorite PA track and in my top 5 in the country, I bet it's a classic whenever it happens. All the best....

Bodemeister looked like tbe best horse before the race, and betting on Baffert is always a safe bet. But I can never bring myself to bet on the favorites going off at five or six to one in a 20 horse field. I had $5 win place bets on I'll Have Another and Daddy Nose Best because they both went off at attractive odds and there were at least a decent amount of handicappers that were picking each of them to finish in the money.
The Outlaws in general aren't my favorite show, but I am going to go to Lincoln tonight. I did kinda want to avoid the big crowd because I tore my left ACL and MCL the week before Christmas and had an ACL reconstruction just after the new year. I still can't walk real fast, but I'll see how it goes. The last several months have been difficult, to say the least.
I guess I was always just willfully ignorant about how a torn ACL is replaced. My surgeon is also the team doctor for the ECHL Reading (Pa.) Royals and the AA baseball Reading Phillies. He has mentioned several times that there is no such thing as "repairing" a torn ACL; it has to be replaced. The two methods of doing that are either using a piece of your own hamstring or patella tendon and having it function as an ACL or using an ACL from a cadaver. My doctor recommended using a cadaver ACL, since I don't play any high level sports, and he thinks it kind of a waste to damage a healthy hamstring or patella tendon if you don't have to.
I never gave any thought as to how a new ACL is attached, but it really was a shock to me when the doctor explained that he was going to drill holes in my tibia and fibula and use titanium screws to attach the cadaver ACL. FWIW, I have always checked the organ donor option on my driver's license. But now that I have someone else's ACL in my leg, it has made me believe in that even more.

Sorry about your bad luck! Glad to hear you are going tonite, heck I even checked the weather forecast, lol. Lincoln is such a racy place the Thunder Cars are even exciting there and Mr. Harper is as good as you get as far as Announcers go. Send me an email and give me your thoughts on the show when youget a sec, all the best, Take It Easy....

ACL reconstruction? I had 2 of those 1986 & 95 (But I got handicapped seats for baseball playoffs!) Now I'm approved for 2 total knee replacements... gotta find time to mend. Getting old is so cool....
