ENSIGN/LEMSPRO RACING AND MACHINE TEAM UP FOR KNOXVILLE, OSKALOOSA, AND OTHERS FOR 2012
Geoff Ensign Motorsports is pleased to announce an agreement with
Lemspro Racing and Machine out of Sturgis, SD to drive at this year’s
Knoxville Nationals, the Ultimate Challenge in Oskaloosa, IA, and other
major sprint car races including the USAC Oval Nationals in Perris later
in the year in the Lemspro Racing and Machine #22x.
The 2011 USAC Western Classic Sprint Car Champion announced the deal
after a phone call with Lems yesterday. “We’re going to be hitting the
road for some big races. Lemspro Racing and Machine has been making all
kinds of horsepower for everything from Drag Racing to hot rods to
Sprint Car motors for years. Dave is the Eagle Chassis supplier up
there in Sturgis, so we’ll be running his motors in an Eagle Chassis.
The motor and chassis haven’t even seen a track, so it’s all fresh and
ready to go. Although Dave’s not a household name out here on the West
Coast, his equipment is second to none. It’s a first class deal from
top to bottom. I couldn’t be more excited to add these races to my
calendar for later this year.” stated Ensign. “With or without a wing,
we’ll be racing at the biggest sprint car races in the US, and that’s
all I can ask for as a driver. I can’t thank Dave Lems enough for the
opportunity.”
Owner Dave Lems has raced in the past for Jack Gordon in the Gordon
RV #1c in the NARC days on the west coast, and won at least one main
event at Placerville Speedway. His cars have won multiple track
championships at Black Hills Speedway in South Dakota.
