I made hotel reservations for the July 7th WOO race in Beaver Dam, WI. I have never been to this track before and was looking for some info. 1. Is it general admission, or reserved seating throughout? 2. Does it generally sellout? or can you buy tickets at the gate without any problems? 3. How is the racing usually for a WOO event?
thanks in advance!!

I am usually in the pits so I don't know much buying tickets in the grandstand. I have seen very few Woo races that there is a problem getting a seat unless you are showing up at race time.
Track usually produces some great racing for the Woo and IRA when the track is running sprints. Usually the cushion is on the fence and guys can run anywhere. As for the IRA guys running, usually 8-12 of the regulars will run and toss in a few from Wilmot regulars also. Usually the car count is 30-35 cars, plenty to put on a great show.
If you are looking for anything to do Friday night the MSA 360s run at Manitowoc, WI about 1.5 hours away from BD.

Have been to most of the WOO shows there.I think the top several rows of the grandstand and also some tables with 4 chairs above the seating area are reserved you should probably call in advance for those.every thing else should be General admission
I always show up during hotlaps or TT and buy general admission and have no problem finding a good seat. Never had to buy in advance. If you get there early and dont mind standing I like to find a spot along the rail above the grandstand. Its a great view. Close to beer and restrooms but can be a pretty busy area on Woo Nites.Usually a good crowd but never seen the place complety full.
This high banked 1/3 mile has produced some great racing over the years. You should also take in the usac/badger midget show sunday the 8th a few miles down the road in Sun Prairie.
